Impeachment is tossed around as regularly as weather reports. There have to be specific grounds for impeachment. Since Obama has been on TV every other day, it is clear he has been involved in the debt talks. Disagreeing with him is not grounds for impeachment.
The Constitution also clearly says the United States will meet its debt obligations. He has promised to uphold the Constitution as have all congressmen. That is not being done. None of them have earned that $ 174,000 congressional income and should be docked for doing nothing but blaming one another. The Tea Party needs to shut the hell up. They have the narrowest vision for this country and are willing to see it implode so thay can say.." See! We won!" They are totally ignorant of the fact that it was not tax cuts that made America great but our unique public-private partnerships across the generations. This country was founded on compromise and meeting in the middle. We need to preserve that uniqueness.
Should Default Mean Impeachment for Obama?

The finger-pointing in Washington is getting so heated that it's turning into a circular firing squad. At this point, it's almost impossible to decide whose fault the debt ceiling crisis is, because both sides have thrown so many schemes up against the wall it's hard to tell them apart.
Not for Iowa Rep. Steve King, though. The outspoken fiscal and social Conservative who famously made the "optics" quip about President Obama's middle name during the 2008 election ("what does this look like to the rest of the world?"), said on Monday that the president could face impeachment if the U.S. goes into default.
"STOP talking about default. The 1st dime of each $1 of revenue services debt. Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments," King wrote on Twitter.
With the deadline to raise the debt ceiling looming in less than a week (Aug. 2) the pressure on Congress is intense. In his tweet, King pushed the GOP plan called "Cut, Cap and Balance," which would require spending cuts and caps alongside a constitutional amendment balancing the budget. It passed in the House last week, but didn't make the cut in the Senate. If a deal is not reached by next week the U.S. could default on its debt payments for the first time in history, a prospect that could lower the country's credit rating and rattle worldwide markets.
While King was lambasting the president, House Speaker John Boehner was sent back to the drawing board on Tuesday night after his latest proposal didn't pass muster with the Congressional Budget Office, which said it would not cut as much spending as advertised.
Some members of Boehner's own party appear to be slowly turning against his plan and the intransigence of the Right is beginning to spark whispers in liberal circles that a failure to reach a solution on the ceiling debate could end up backfiring on the foot-dragging GOP.

"It appears as, the experiment that was called 'America' is at an end... then perhaps a fitting epitaph would be ... 'here lies America the greatest nation that might have been had it not been for the Edomite bankers who first stole their money, used their stolen money to buy their politicians and press and lastly deprived them of their constitutional freedom by the most evil device yet created - The Federal Reserve Banking System.' " G. D. McDaniel

"The Fed should be repealed, and the Fed Banks, having violated their charters, should be liquidated immediately. Faithless Government officials who have violated their oaths of office should be impeached and brought to trial".
"Mr. Chairman, the United States is bankrupt: It has been bankrupted by the corrupt and dishonest Fed. The man who deceives the people is a traitor to these United States". Congressman Louis B. McFadden, 1933 Survived two assassination attempts but not a third in 1935.
"The Federal Reserve banks are one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever seen. There is not a man within the sound of my voice who does not know that this nation is run by the International bankers." - Congressman Louis T. McFadden
Both sides of the aisle always make sure the people are the first to suffer, yet their buddies still get theirs. Why do you think that is?
What is needed is criminal indictment.
You know our politicians make themselves rich b/c they know what is happening before Wall Street?/ Oh i'm sure you know about insider trading!!
So when we are talking about millionaires paying their fair share we are talking about the people that decide what is going to happen or not.
The problem is...What is legally demanded of them was changed by the Reps to be less than what is legally demanded of the other not so fortunate Americans!!!
You are looking at this as if b/c they pay more money than regular people... the poor rich folk are being taken advantage of. Give me a break... they pay 15% after all their deductions !! WE pay 32% and have no deductions!!
The problem with the wealthy today is ...they do not have the philosophy of old money. The Vanderbuilts and Roosevelts felt they were fortunate to be born into a privileged life so they gave to charities...hired people through developing businesses!! Today people with money are selfish ((what is theirs is theirs)) and they do not have to help their fellow man.
That is precisely why all people should be taxed the same. 36%.. 30% what ever but it should be everyone paying their fair share. Not that the rich can find loop holes and tax breaks and the poor single mom or low income family or the (shrinking) middle income should take the brunt of what the rich don't pay.
That is what is fair!!!

"We have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks. They are not government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government, and it has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it." - Senator Louis T. McFadden, Chairman US Banking & Currency Commission

I wish they had better Civics teachers in high school, A great deal of people on SH could benefit from at least a basic knowledge of the executive branch, the legislative branch and the judicial branch of gov. and who is responsible for what.
Contrary to its name, Faux news is not a source of news or truth. The lies they tell are too numerous to mention, and are well documented.
