Killers or not, prison should be as uncomfortable as possible.

I would prefer to see shorter sentences with more misery.

who are we to decide who can enjoy a dr.pepper or who can have a pillow, daily shower, warm food. i consider those to be everyday comforts. and do you think a thug who killed a thug deserves to be deprived of everyday comforts just because he killed a thug? there are very different circumstances for everyone

Personally, I feel they should be given a trial and 1 year to appeal. After that, they are shot in the head. End of story. perks are for law abiding citizens, not murders

Just no - they should get health care, meals, be warm and dry - books to read - but have no idea what the hell you mean by "perks" - can you give us a clue??

They've avoided the needle. There's a perk for them.

It costs 10 times more to provide a prisoner with perks than it would out in the public.

I see your point but unfortunatley short sentences just lead to the "revolving door" effect. Longer sentences with a chance to reflect, rehab on drugs etc, deal with mental issues and
plenty of hard work seems to work better in the long run.
