Should Conservative parents sue tax-funded public schools that try to force leftwing ideology and agendas down their kids' throats, for malpractice as teachers, for mis-use of tax funding, and for violating the civil rights of their kids?

They should sue, not for monetary gain, but to get these teachers fired who neglect to teach all aspects aspects of our political system not just one side of it. This includes any that are conservative that may be doing this as well. It is important to teach our kids al facets of a given subject so that they can decide for themselves what they think and how they fit into the scheme of things.

You bet they should. And if this happened more frequently, there just might be a change in their progressive curriculum.

What should be done is to abolish the Dept. of Education and turn control back to the States, Counties and Townships on the educational of their children. This home control of education worked well for 200+ years, made American number one in education in the entire World. It wasn't until a clown of a President Mr. J. Carter came into office and destroy the educational system in this country.

If parents really had a "Choice" public schools would become a thing of the past and schools would be under the control of the people for a change.

Half the problem in America is that the richest people in it are lawyers. Bring change instead through becoming active on your local school boards! Get involved if you're passionate about curriculum

Schools should not have carte blanche on what they are putting into our children's heads with taxpayer money. There should be accountability and if it has to go to court when the school board won't listen to the parents, then so be it.

It should be a felony to teach evolution and sexual perversions to public school children.

History (FACTUAL) should be mandatory, even though liberals hate it. Using 'revised' history books should be a felony.

The pledge of allegiance should be mandatory again.

A few years ago in my county, the school Board wanted to impose an "outcome" based education program. When people found out what was in it we had a big fight that stopped it flat.

Sadly, every so often they try to slip in some portion of that program anyway. Which is why we've had a big turnover in the School Board.

I'm not a lawyer, but that sounds like good recourse for those of us sick and tired of liberalism infecting our public schools. Another course of action is to vote out the liberal school board members and to aggressively speak our positions to local and State education entities.

The National Education Association union allegedly for teachers has mainly contributed to the ruin of our educational system and contributes most of its money (teachers' dues) to the socialist left wing of our government.

One parent can't do anything except get their child in trouble.

A class action suit by parents would hit them from a new side and hopefully cause more than just a dent.

Not saying I would personally, but there has been some questionable curriculum my kids were taught and I was never notified of it until it was too late and it has left me lividly angry. Really makes me wanna home school because I have no reason to put my trust in the school system. I actually hope someone does sue.

As I am not a parent, I do not see what there is to gain. This would just end in making lawyers richer and no real resolution.

It depends, because if the school is teaching the idea of evolution as one theory, just like religion and others, that is okay. But what is not okay is saying that evolution is the truth. In that case, the parents should sue or get the school board to change it immediately.

Not sure about the suing part, but, it should be addressed. The classroom is no place for a teacher's or administration's political agendas. whether they be liberal or conservative.
