Absolutely not!!! I love this AD because it actually involves people of all political affiliations. Gene Simmons is Socially Liberal, but a staunch Fiscal Conservative. Cindy McCain is a Conservative, but I believe her to be more Socially Liberal.
I'm honestly glad that people on both sides are coming out in support of the LGBT Community. It's the ONLY way that things are going to change.

Thanksgiving is going to be entertaining at the McCain household.
Sen. John McCain's wife Cindy appeared in an ad criticizing the government’s “don't ask, don't tell” policy. You know, that same policy that her husband stands to uphold. Uh-oh.
The ad was created by the gay rights group NOH8 in response to California’s Proposition 8 that banned same-sex marriage. Mrs. McCain suggests that her own husband is part of the problem.

Of course her husband filibustered a defense appropriations bill that would have repealed the U.S. military’s DADT policy back in September.Funny thing is, the 2008 presidential candidate won’t find any support from his daughter either on this issue. Political columnist Meghan McCain does not support DADT. She wrote the following on Twitter:
"I am a supporter of LGBT rights and am against DADT - I fight every day... There's a lot of anger being projected at me personally for my father's
stance on DADT. I love my father very much and we disagree."
Good for her.
Maybe Sen. McCain should listen to the women in his life on this one. Americans, either gay or straight, who want to serve our country proudly and are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the U.S. of A should at the very least be able to open up about who they are without the government creating problems or repercussions.
DADT is an archaic policy that needs to be repealed. For the most part, our society is becoming more accepting of gays. Granted, we have a long way to go, but great strides have been made in recent years.
And some Republican leaders, especially white-haired ones from Arizona, should reconsider this policy and honestly ask themselves if DADT would really be the end of our world (feels like we're there anyway with the economy in the can) as we know it.At the end of a hard-fought day in Afghanistan, does it matter if the Marine who killed two-dozen Taliban and five members of al-Qaeda writes a letter to his girlfriend or boyfriend from his tent? No. This will not be the end of the United States.
I know you're not supposed to talk politics and religion with friends, but shouldn't you be able to talk about it with family? I'd sure love to be a fly on the wall during the McCain Thanksgiving dinner this year. Maybe the McCains should get their ducks in a row before Sen. McCain tries to toss his name in the presidential hat for 2012.
And just remember, senator, when you ask, “Please pass the mashed potatoes,” make sure you duck!

What "special rights" or "special treatment" are you referring to?
There is no such thin as "SPECIAL RIGHTS". ALL citizens are supposed to have EQUAL RIGHTS!! Those EQUAL RIGHTS include being allowed the privilege of serving in the military without fear of being treated differently, which is exactly what DADT does already.

When I was in school we had a few who we all knew were homosexual, and yes they got picked on, but I never saw them putting their "repulsive behavior in everybody's face." They were just different, so some kids made fun of them. It wasn't like they're having anal sex in the school bleachers during the pep rally. So I'm not sure why you call people who have a different sexual preference 'perverts' (i.e., paraphilia), what they do in their bedroom is their private business, it's no more perverted than what you do in your bedroom.
