Unless he wants to. It doesnt seem to effect his governance.

Not to mention, it isn't anyone's business but his and his family's.

YES. He is a FAT SLOB with a big mouth. You cannot go far on that alone. For some time it has been pre requisite for candidates to be at least plausible on television AND Christie had implied that after he was elected that he would begin to lose the weight. Just the opposite has happened and it shows a lack of discipline on his part.

    Are you kidding me also?
the man weighs about 400 pounds which in NO medical book is healthy and his appearance is slovenly. Thumbs down to you for condoning his fatness.

Mmm...Personally I believe in taking care of yourself (medical professions all through my family) but one area I really struggle with is people who believe they are experts on everything (and are super intolerant).

Thumbs down to you for having such a high opinion of yourself.

    MMMM.....
Personally, why do you choose to interpret a specific response as one being ' an expert on everything"?
Seems like a cop out answer to me.

I admire people who have an opinion based on facts but to call someone any name like "fat slob" is the issue. Obviously you don't get it.

Your opinion is just rude, mean-spirited, and speaks to who you are, nothing more, nothing less.

And the facts speak to Christie being a FAT SLOB, or do you say otherwise that he is not. that is NOT mean spirited AND is spoken in the same brusque manner in which Christie speaks to others. He should expect no less. And YOU say he is NOT a FAT SLOB?

I'm sure you are an educated man. Slob is a word that has a connotation of slovenly, crude, or obnoxious. He is not any of those.

Sloven is a word that means sloppy (as in sloppy in dress, etc.). I would describe Christie as direct and straight forward, not one who is a kiss-up.

There is a major difference to a person who is mean-spirited or someone who is direct in his speech. I prefer the later.

SH is full of mean-spirited folk who make personal comments that show bias (e.g., "fat slob"). For anyone to rabbit-trail through your comments your mean-spirited comments are there for all to see.

I'm sure you choose to misinterpret that way on purpose.
let's look at some of Christie's comments, shall we?

Need more examples. he is a BIG boy in more ways than one. He can dish it out and therefore it is required he accepts as he gives out. The camera does NOT flatter him because he IS a fat slob who spills over his clothes, has NO neck and more than one chin. He also at times is a blowhard, and that comes from one who is a supporter of his believe it or not.

BUT he takes NO pride in his appearance , especially apolitician in a broadcast environment. he does not need to be thin, but when one has to lose @ 150 lbs just to look normally overweight, YES then he is a FAT SLOB.

I will let your comments stand and allow others to judge.

I prefer debate, not attacking rhetoric. Have a good day - conversation ended.

I can't handle reciprocity and facts.I know Christie attacks others with boorish behavior and hasn't the self discipline to become less than obese, so I will characterize direct questions as rhetoric to give myself an out and not answer. i also will make it look as if I am ending this conversation but am really looking for a way to avoid answering anything.

Not unless he wants to. This country has totally alienated the word freedom from their vocabulary. It is his right just as it is your right to support your hypocrite in the White House.

Of course. He is straining every organ and bone in his body living like that. Plus, he'll never make it on the national stage until he becomes more telegenic and I think he's make a great president..

His weight is a health issue, and let's face it, with our new health care system, sooner or later, he will be penalized for his weight and probably his premiums will triple. Also, if he ever has presidential aspirations, this will come under fire and can you imagine the pictures, and videos of him eating that will be out there? He should be spared that indignity, and so should we.

I'm a republican who has great respect for him and I do feel he should lose some weight. It's unhealthy to carry excess weight. I do wish he would as I want this guy around for a long time.

Damnit, I meant to hit "No."

He's a young guy. Long before he succumbs to complications of atheromatous disease and/or metabolic syndrome, he'll be out of Drumthwacket by dint of NJ state constitutional term limits, and he's sure as hell not going to get elected to any other public office, so who cares what happens to his health in the long run?

If only all political advertising were as truthful: nearly all politicians are parasitical pigs. Here, have another tax-funded cheeseburger! No, really, I don't mind at all spending 1/2 my working life paying to fatten your lying, backstabbing asses. And those of your cronies--Big Ag, Pharma, Med, Insurance--I don't mind that every significant industry is now a cartel enforced at gunpoint by your corrupt regulators.

None of this is a problem for me because I cn haz cheezbrgr 2!
