Should child molesters get the death penalty?

My ex boyfriend was raped but neither of us thinks his child rapist should actually be executed. Although if the rapist gave the kid AIDS or something my opinion would be different.

that would be to good for them. They should have there genitals tied up like till they fall off and raped with a large dildo. Killing is to good for them

they destroy lives, so theirs should be also destroyed

but i have to say, some people that have been accused of molestation have not done that, so if it should come to a death penalty the evidence could not be questionable

Death is too good for them, first you lock them in a room with the family and friends of the victim and if he lives you castrate him without medication and then after that he can be hung for everybody to see

I think it's pretty well established that child molesters aren't usually able to change their behavior, which leaves society the option of jailing them for life or this forum's option of the death penalty. With the DNA proof that we can establish today, if it is proven that a person has indeed molested a child, i see no reason the tax payers should pay for them to live out life in prison. A molested child is deeply and permanently scarred and the perpetrator should be permanently removed from society.

I think it'd be MUCH more fun to throw them out into the town square and let the citizens deal with them.

Whether or not some one deserves death, if we allow the death penalty to exist, it will kill more innocent people; along with the guilty.
The moral question is, is it OK to kill a few innocents in order to get most of the guilty ?

I think that if the person can be convicted using DNA evidence, which is considered completely accurate, that a person in that case should receive the death penalty. I do have overall issues with the death penalty - solely on the fact that there are times that innocent people are put to death. My support of the death penalty is when the conviction is based not only on the accusation, but is fully proven with DNA evidence.

Agreed that could happen. I would want a double or even triple test procedure in place, to ensure that no one was falsely accused. If the proper protocols were established and followed, DNA should be convincing evidence. Maybe have protocol involve using multiple lab facilities to ensure accurate results.

There is no perfection, there is no infallibility, once humans are introduced in to the equation, innocents will be killed by the death penalty if one exists, My personal standard is that even one is to many.

It would STOP RECITIVISM (they wouldn't do it again)! But than isn't, according to my understanding, what God/Jesus would want me to do. I'll have to yeld to his decision of what he wants to do with them (possible LIFE without the possibility of PAROLE, because Jesus did refer to kids as 'for of such is the kindom of heaven'.)

What they do to those poor innocent children affects them for the rest of their life. A 'punishment' no child should have to endure. As someone who knows of someone who has been abused as a child, they should get the harshest punishment possible.

A child is the epitome of innocence. Once that has been damaged it cannot be repaired.

Killing a child rapist is too merciful - (s)he has no time to reflect on his/her crimes and carry the guilt on his/her shoulders, so in the end the death penalty is comparable to letting him/her walk.

Instead, I'd rather see child rapists castrated and with tattoos sprawled over their arms, legs, and torso that read: "I couldn't hold myself back and touched an adolescent, so now I carry on my shoulders my guilt nascent." They can't get rid of their own skin and survive, or repair their reproductive systems, or hide the tattoo from other people. No matter where they run, no matter where they hide, their past will always follow closely. Even the worst criminals, as far as I know, would be more than happy to deal with pedophiles dressed head to toe in these tattoos.

Haha, nice idea. I think if this is the case, it should be stipulated that one tattoo be on their forehead so it isn't easily covered up with clothing. The only problem I have with marking them with tattoos and castration is that a molester is a truly sick individual and will likely continue to molest using other objects,, which could cause much worse physical harm. And just because a sex organ is removed or rendered inoperable, the molester would still have use of their hands, mouth etc. to terrorize other children. It's all scary and horrible!

I believe any person who molests a child should be given a choice--Death or scalpel.

Tattoo their crimes across their foreheads and then throw them in general population in any prison in America.

I think child molesters should be raped with a nail studded bat. Then put to death in the most horrible way. My father raped my half sister from when she was 8 until she was 16. I wouldn't take it easy on him what so ever if I ever came across him today.

No you absolutely don't. I was 4 when it started and about 12 when she got away finally. I didn't know anything about it until I was 17 when thats when I ran away from my dad's house too. I haven't saw or spoke to my dad in almost 3 years now

So, what would a sexual predator be able to contribute to society if it (I say it) could be rehabilitated? The fact that sexual predators have a high rate of recidivism is enough to question the value of rehabilitation.
