Most of them have the brains of garden snails and the political wisdom of 8-year-olds. Any one who listens to celebrities about politics is too stupid to vote.

Liberals need to stick to what they do best, attempt to entertain the rest of us. If you are in the entertainment industry and you continue to support Obama, expect to see your popularity fall. ENTERTAINERS DEPEND ON US TO PAY TO SEE THEM. I for one will not waste another DIME on any of them and will DONATE everything I have to WORTHY CAUSES.

They can endorse whoever they want, just as private citizens can. The problem isn't the celebrities commenting and endorsing, the problem is people using those comments and endorsments to choose a candidate. Why would anyone rely on the opinion of someone who plays at dress-up all day and lives in a perpetual fantasy world?

Did you read where some black actor (sorry, his name escapes me now) admitted he voted for obama only because he was black? He didn't know what obama's policies were and didn't care. And yet some voters allowed his opinion to sway them, only because he's a Hollywood star.

Research everything and form your own opinion from what facts you can find.

    What bigger picture?

Celebrities can endorse, but people shouldn't allow the fact that they are celebrites to sway their vote. Where's the bigger picture than that?

Celebrities, in general, aren't any smarter than the general populace. Some might even be significantly dumber, although it could just be a publicity thing. Now, if professionals in the field of what they're endorsing want to endorse something, I might trust their opinion much moreso. For example, I really want to know who the actual, professional economists in general prefer for president, since the economy should be the biggest issue, and one that the two main candidates are most widely separated on.

Their opinion should matter about as much as yours or mine. Everyone's opinion matters. Now if the question is should people vote for someone just because your favorite sports figure or actor or musician is voting for them, then I would have to say not really. Vote for the person YOU believe is the better candidate. Just so long as you think that candidate is Obama.

Why should profession matter? Does an opinion matter less because it was offered by an entertainer, rather than by a dentist, or an electrician, or a chef? Shouldn't a the value of a person's opinion be based on that person's ability to reason?

Some entertainers have offered very insightful opinions. Others - not so much. But isn't that true of every profession? Even those in the profession of politics say incredibly stupid things. (Insert any one of one million Sarah Palin quips here).

Last time I looked, a dentist or electrician didn't have the kind of star struck worshippers like celebrities do. For that matter, I'd prefer a dentist's opinon over a celebrity ... he's working a real job, living in the real world with all the same worries that real people have.

I guess that would depend on the person. There's a word that applies to making judgements about entire groups of people.

The only people I judged were the dentists and electricians and I thought that was a pretty accurate judgement..

Or do you mean the star-struck moonlings? They deseve to be judged for their mindlessness.

Just because they are pretty, or have an entertaining talent, they are no brighter than the rest of us as a matter of fact allot of them are dumber. Anyone who allows another to influence who they vote for instead of reading the facts shouldn't be allowed to vote...

you almost make a point - no one will vote based on what Mr Eastwood said ...the same can not be said for those who fall for the BS the Democrats serve up ...war on woman / free health care (insurance is not health care and its NOT FREE) for everyone / peace by kissing ass in the Middle east / recovering the economy by killing the dollar / gas prices for the very first time in ALL us history are not the seated Presidents fault ....Democrats are idiots ! every last one of them.
