Most of them have the brains of garden snails and the political wisdom of 8-year-olds. Any one who listens to celebrities about politics is too stupid to vote.

Some of these celebrities think they fart roses and walk on water. Just because they're "stars" sure doesn't mean they know anything about politics. Why would they care anyway? They don't have to face bankruptcy like the rest of America does. They're living high on the hog while other people are out of work and barely making ends meet.

I know there are people out there that do pretty much anything their favorite celebrities do. But thankfully I ain't like that. Every time I see a celebrity endorsing a politician I get annoyed, it's not like their endorsing shampoo or perfume. Whoever wins the election has the power to affect our lives in good ways and in ways we don't want

They shouldn't even be shown on tv. That's persuading the voters into making wrong choices. Or making choices for the wrong reasons.

what would make you think their opinion should matter more then anyone else's. they are not paid to be political analysts. so to me their opinion means nothing.

The only exception would be someone on the order of a Kal Penn. A, truly, politically involved celebrity. Not just some big-named person. I mean, seriously, what makes Alec Baldwin or Gary Oldman any more credible of an endorser than me?

If you vote based on celebrity endorsements, you have no one to blame but yourself for the result.

Just because they are celebrities, why shouldn't they be allowed to endorse like other people from other walks of life. It's suppose to be all about rights, and living that American dream, why should they be excluded? I guess if they were all for the right people would look at the situation a little different.

They never have and never will. The celebs have always picked their favorites, it is not something new with just this generation. As far back as the 50's when I was growing up different celebs endorsed their favorites and they were ignored than and should be now.

Why not, they are citizens and have the same rights as newspaper editors, media commentators, and the list goes. So why not have celebrity endorsements

Did you read the question? It doesn't suggest that celebrities shouldn't be able to endorse, it's asking if those endorsement should matter.

Yes and no.. They matter as much as anybody's.. Should they have the apparent INFLUENCE that they seem to have?? Is there any reasoning behind it??

    No..

I don't think so but that's just MY opinion.. The FACT of the matter is,, they have no more of an influence over people's choices then those people ALLOW them to and THAT,, is THEIR choice..

Look I pay to see good Movies and TV. I don't give a rat's butt what they think. If they do tick me off I can take my money elseware and then they get paid less. I think Celebrities should do what they do best, movies, tv and keep all their fans happy. Leave the politics to their wallets let them make donations. I think they think they are so big that they won't lose fans...um wrong.

In Britain, we in the Labour party were delighted with Cheryl Cole's endorsement - she is hot and resonates with ordinary people.

Most of the idiots in 'entertainment' got there because they have big boobs or they look pretty. Not much intelligence is needed to read a line and 'act'.
