Brian Ross is apparenly ABC's chief investigative reporter. I am not a journalist by trade but I do know ONE thing about journalism 101 "check your sources" and "don't report false infomation". Saying there are 4 James Holmes' in the area is fine, but narrowing it down to one person that is now identifiable by thousands of people is foolish and endangers this individual. Firing him for lack of jouralistic integrity is the LEAST ABC can do. Then Mr. Jim Holmes (not the shooter) should sue him for slander. This is not the first instance of Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos using a tragedy to manufacture political spin. Shame on both of you!!!

This is up to his employer but I think all news programs need to take a breathe and stop trying to get the the first scoop before doing any research. Like CNN and Fox getting the SCOTUS ruling wrong because they felt they needed to get the news out 30 seconds faster then the next guy.
