If he's as big a fraud as every possible story paints him to be, then he should never be allowed to leave the country given what he has been exposed to as president; jail or worse. I expect that he'll be shown the door in November then walk through it in January with a lifetime supply of SS detail for himself and his family.

I thought the secret service said that due to costs of maintaining protection Presidents would have protection for a decade after their exit from the white house, but after then none. GW Bush was the last President to get full coverage, and was effectively grandfathered into the old program. I remember reading that a few years back. Not sure if I can find it again though since it's been so long now.

As I understand it, former presidents, starting with GW, no longer get life time Secret Service protection - only for a specified time (I think 4 years, but not sure) after they leave office.
If a hearing should affirm that he is a foreign national, then he should get no protection whatsoever, unless he pays for it himself.

Secret Service protection used to extend to former presidents for the duration of their lifetime. Now, it only lasts for 10 years after they are out of office. This came about sometime in the mid-90's.

That said, someone who did not meet the eligibility requirements and managed to scam their way into the executive officer position is a grifter and is not entitled to any benefits resulting from their crime.
