A woman is suing a bar and a group of friends of a girl who drank herself to death celebrating her 21st birthday. Apparently, she was often drunk. She had two drunken-driving arrests on her record.
On the night in question the girl passed out at the bar and friends took her to an apartment. One friend put her to bed at about 12:15 a.m., and four of them checked on her about 15 minutes later, according to the suit. She had been unconscious for about an hour and had vomited twice when a friend placed her on her left side and left her alone. Next morning they found her dead.

NO. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.
People need to take responsibility for themselves. It's not like the bar or her friends poured it down her throat. That is what is wrong with this country everyone is sue happy. No one takes responsibility for their own actions. From the article it sounds like this girl had a drinking problem to begin with. Maybe her Mother should look towards herself for not being able to stop under age drinking. If she couldn't stop her daughter from drinking what makes her think her friends or a bartender can? And why would it be their fault the girl drank herself to death?View thread

YES. They should have known she had alcohol poisoning and taken her to the hospital.
Second I bet you this what happened they were to scared of getting in trouble didnt take her to the hospital and thought she could just sleep it off....just because they have Boobs doesnt mean they have a brain!
Third from what I experienced its always the fools that drink like gorillas, they think they have to get drunk with in a short amount of time...its not how fast you drink it, its how much you drink!
I do believe the bar and her friends at fault as well as her hopefully they all pay she has, but I also believe her bad mothering was an issue hense the uncontrollable child so she shouldnt get any money at all!!!!

NO. She should sue the bar, but not the friends. The bartender should have known better.

Even with 2 DUIs under her belt, maybe neither she, nor her friends, thought she had a drinking problem. The girl was 21, and should have known better.
If she was that drunk, chances are the friends weren't in any better shape.
