Shocker from Rasmussen: Obama in the toilet with the rest of the turds.....Romney 50% - Obama 43%

Allbiz - PWCM - JLA 2012/05/11 19:44:08

The poll numbers are not entirely the result of Obama's gay marriage flip flop. That figures into only 2 days of the three day rolling average.

Obama has had a very bad couple of weeks and the cumulative effect has his campaign scrambling.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney earning 50% of the vote and President Obama attracting 43% support. Four percent (4%) would vote for a third party candidate, while another three percent (3%) are undecided.

Matchup results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).

This is the first time Romney has reached the 50% level of support and is his largest lead ever over the president. It comes a week after a disappointing jobs report that raised new questions about the state of the economy. See tracking history.

Thirty-seven percent (37%) give the president good or excellent marks for his handling of the economy. Forty-eight percent (48%) say he's doing a poor job. Consumer confidence has slipped four points since last week's government report on job creation and unemployment. The number who believe their personal finances are getting better slipped from 30% a week ago to 28% today. The number who fear their finances are getting worse increased from 43% before the jobs report to 47% today.

Not to get too excited about this - we'll have to wait for Gallup's tracking poll to gauge how real this movement is - but there is a possible sea change in the attitude of voters at work here. Have the voters lost faith in Obama's ability to bring the economy back? Those numbers tell a tale of falling confidence and fears regarding their personal financial situation.

Nobody really cares what Romney did as a kid in high school - not when voters are faced with economic uncertainty and the belief that no one in Washington knows what they're doing. Obama's gay marriage distraction will work for a while, but in the end, people always come back to their pocketbook - and if the election is about that, Obama loses.

As the unemployment numbers continue on, and as the DNC continues to try to promote the same old big spending lies, Americans are fed up.

So, what do we learn from this poll?

It appears that 93% of Americans will settle for:

I suggest you do some research and learn the differences between Rasmussen Inc., Rasmussen Research, both owned by the left-supporting TownPagesNet.com, vs Rasmussen Reports which is owned by Scott Rasmussen.

I guess you don't know that Rasmussen Reports also does polls for BBC, CNN, Bloomburg News, CNBC, NPR, USA Today, WSJ, and the L.A. Times. All of whom are left leaning media.

I guess you also don't know that Scott Rasmussen is rated by the left stream MSM as the most accurate and mosgt honest polling organization there is today.

Given the poll numbers, we should expect all sorts of smear tactics from the left.

(Their dredging up the mere possibility of high school bullying from 1965 says it all.)

If you really knew what you are talking about, Rasmussen also works for the DNC.

Get your facts straight and suck it up when you're slapped in the face with one.

SLAP...SLAP: From rhe leftist owned GALLUP Organization.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Registered voters are more likely to say Mitt Romney, if elected president, would do a very good or good job of handling the economy than they are to say President Obama would, if re-elected -- 61% vs. 52%. While the two men earn about equal "very good" ratings, 22% of voters think Obama would do a "very poor" job, more than twice as many as say the same about Romney (10%).

Voters were asked to rate Obama and Romney separately on the economy in the May 1-2 USA Today/Gallup poll. However, when forced to choose between the two in a follow-up question, voters were split about evenly, with 47% saying Romney and 45% Obama.
