Police in Arlington, VA, are shocked at what transpired on July 1 near a city bus stop. There, a man was struck by a vehicle, and he ended up lying face down and motionless on the sidewalk. But that isn’t what has officials horrified: it’s the fact that a bus surveillance video driving by caught numerous people walking past and doing nothing as the man lay dying.
What a care less world we have become!

Each and every one of those callous people should be charged, convicted and jailed for failure to render aid! They each deserve 10 years in the slammer at least.

The world lacks common sense. There should be a common sense class in school.

What those other two said about people thought it was drug addict If I might call 911 but I am used to seeing drug addict passed out or drunks passed out.

    Were it ME, Personally,

I would stop and talk to the man, to see if I could help ~

But I don't expect others to do so, nor would I blame them for not...

I know that might sound cold, but, in all reality, you have NO idea what's going on ~

Sad to say, it's a sight you see in urban areas everywhere, people, sleeping or passed out !

If that IS the case, you have NO IDEA what might happen if you do try to interact...

Drug induced passouts, or P.T.S.D. sufferers could get ugly, real quick,

if you do disturb them, while in that state of being...

It's best to call for help, if you're not sure,

and pray, as did the man on the bus ~

I wouldn't be too quick to judge.

Could be folks are used to gang violence or seeing homeless drunks in that area. Both situations that could put you at risk if you interfere.

In that case I would be wary of doing anything other than dialing 911.
