Shameful: Left Celebrate Independence Day by Slamming America

Always Right 2012/07/05 12:07:29

Unbelievable. Yet, totally believable since it is so predictable. As always, members of the bitter and hateful Left jump at the chance to slam the country that provides them the opportunity and freedom to spew their hatred.

Non-Americans join in the bashing. But, hey, let’s totally appease those who hate us, right? Citizens of the world and all.

I don't care what the Obamabots say anymore. It's always the same whining drivel. As a white American, I enjoyed my 4th of July, hot dogs, and fireworks. If they didn't, too bad.

The left produces their real hate-filled thoughts toward America behind the anonymity of Facebook and Twitter posts, but when the political figures they elect appear in public, they always like to pretend it's Conservatives who hate what America stands for.

The left is made up of liars, deceivers, and hypocrites.

How is that any worse (or even any different, for that matter) than all the bitter, nasty, gloom-and-doom posts by self-proclaimed conservatives that were right here on SH yesterday? And honestly, why does it even matter? I scrolled past the negative posts here; anyone could have scrolled past the negative tweets.

You mean you actually them, I believe there were two. Independence day is as important today as it was in 1776, it was the birth of a great nation. Morons have the right to say whatever about America, but if they were in another country talking trash about it, they'd be shot or imprisoned!

Some of the headlines from yesterday:

"Is this July 4th more a memorial for freedom lost, than a celebration of freedom secured?"

"Has the American Revolution Come to a Pitiful Close?"

"This is Independence day, sort of. Here are a few "taxes" the government could force up to "pay" thanks to John Roberts. Reasonab..."

    "Independence Day -- Yeah Right!!!"

"This July 4th it’s time to tell another tyrant we’ve had enough"

    There were loads of them.

Personally, I think that everyone has the right to any opinion or belief they want to latch on to, no matter how much I disagree with it or how crazy it is. The point I'm trying to make is that neither side, and no political party, has the monopoly on crazy or negative.

Historical facts anger the tea party. How shocking. The simple fact is that this nation has been responsible for some of worst atrocities and greatest achievements in human history. The left and right tend to forget this. I take my fourth of July with a grain of salt. I think about the good along the bad and reflect on my relationship with my country. I consider how I can, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., "All we say to America is be true to what you said on paper". Apparently nuance is too hard for this country.

The fact that you can say that, says a lot about America. You have the right to be stupid.

And what did I say that was factually incorrect? That we aren't a perfect nation but we should strive to be. Does that statement really offend you? Let me just inform you of this Sydney Harris quote then: "The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war"

Let's slam what this country has become and slam the people who are destroying this country while also recognizing that we love the country as a whole and love what it could be.

For the same reason they have never liked Independence Day: because those who celebrated it most actively as children, vote against them as adults.

How have the Muslims waged War on other Countries for CENTURIES?

DIVISION OF IT'S PEOPLE prior to the attack.

It was perfected during the period of 1220-1405.

Ghengis Khan never allowed Religions of the area to sway him.

By the time of Babur and then Tamerlane, the art of DIVISION was perfected and SHARIA was implemented for those who wanted to live.

ANYONE SEE PATHETIC DIVISION IN AMERICA RIGHT NOW?

It's OK to disagree but at some point WE SHOULD ALL AGREE, such a thing is

THE FOURTH OF JULY and the LOVE FOR AMERICA.

Now see for yourself who HATES AMERICA and can't be reasoned with.

I once owned a pig I named him George, I also had a goat, I named him Washington....
One day I returned from my studies and found that they had killed each other...
They had both been destined for the cook pot, instead of trying to live the last few hours of their lives with some animal grace, they fought like idiots over a small patch of grass peaking through the fence....
My point being that we are all Americans, free to do as we wish, as were George and Washington, lets not make the same mistake, mmkay?
