Sexism: Are Mormons The American Taliban?

Samantha 2012/06/18 20:54:40
Mitt Romney is a Mormon. No one is really focusing on this in any real way. No one is pointing out that his religious cult beliefs are racist, sexist and sheer lunacy. Well, Bill Maher is and maybe a few others, but the media and the left leave him alone. If the Democratic presidential candidate was Mormon, you can take it to the bank that at this point in the election, we would ALL have a vast and complete understanding of Mormonism. There would be no veil of mystery.

Mormons don’t like the public to know what they do behind closed doors. The reason for this is obvious. They have some pretty far out beliefs that include magic underwear and the idea that when the men die, they get their own planet where they will have many wives.

Other excerpts:

If this is true, why is Obama STILL under so much scrutiny about his faith? Those who are so racist and can’t stand to see a black man holding the most powerful position in the world, argue that he is not a Christian, that he is a Muslim. It’s extremely important that Obama is a Christian. Why is it NOT important that Romney belongs to what Christians dismiss as a cult? We all know why. It’s racism.

“Mormons, and particularly Mormon girls, are commanded to remain completely chaste until marriage. Girls grow up believing that their virginity is what makes them worth marrying (Laake 195), and they are told that “If you sully your body by allowing boys to touch it in forbidden ways…no good man will ever want to marry you” (Johnson 74). According to Mormon Doctrine, “Loss of virtue is too great a price to pay even for the preservation of one’s life–better dead clean, than alive unclean” (McConkie 124). In order to enter the temple for the all-important marriage ceremony, Mormons must undergo a rigorous interview by their bishops about the intimate details of their sexual history to ensure their purity (Laake 86). Mormon colleges today have dress codes for women which forbid shorts, short skirts, and other articles of clothing that could possibly incite a young man’s lust.

In Mormon-dominated Utah, in 1978, seventy percent of the teenage brides were pregnant at their weddings (Johnson 39).

The Mormon church of today is still clinging to the beliefs of the nineteenth century; ideas which are becoming more outmoded every day. A few women in the Mormon church are trying to make a difference, but they are usually swiftly excommunicated (Laake 342; Johnson 351).

They have a gret choir. Went to hear them in concert last year. Always watch their Christmas television broadcast. Ever hear them sing "America the Beautiful"? What more could we ask for?

The Mormon religion is a pseudo-christian cult. Never will I become one. They aren't the only ones who "excommunicate" people. Another cult does the same thing. Both of these go door to door. I have a pretty good idea you know who they are. We need a Christian in office.

You're too scared to watch the videos, aren't you? Too scared to see your political 'messiah' for what he is, from his own lips. That's OK, I'd be too scared myself if I were just as hopelessly deceived by him. But you and this Nation are in for a very rude awakening. If 0bama gets his second term, legitimately or otherwise, I wonder just what in the world it is that 0bama is going to be so much more "flexible" on between himself and Vladamir Putin? Oh, but you probably don't believe that either, please allow me to pop one of those deceit bubbles for you again:

Put aside your irrational hatred of Obama and listen again. Obama is only saying what every president, including Reagan, believed. Not facing the electorate again permitted Reagan to be open to honest discussions with Gorbachev. It's a political reality and Obama isn't the first president to state the obvious.

Did you just even think about what you typed? "Not facing the electorate" means, essentially, bypassing We The People. It is EVERY so-called public servant's appointed duty to NOT do that in this Nation, under any circumstances. This is why this Nation is (supposed to be a Republic but somewhere down the line derailed into) a Democracy. "Not facing the electorate" is WHY this Nation has fallen so very far from its Constitutional frame.

And I am sorry you can't see it now, but 0bama has ulterior motives. My hatred of him is anything BUT irrational. Indefinite Detention of U.S. Citizens by military powers, without the due process of law, and on mere SUSPICIONS, is thoroughly totalitarian - and that is just ONE of a heap of examples. His most recent supporting and stating that America as a whole will support trash like this:

Further, Reagan did NOT bypass Congress or We The People - 0bama is and has done so frequently. We had nothing to fear from Reagan (apart from his stupid move in 1986 to pass -as in SIGN an Act passed first through Congress- the supposedly "one and only, never again" Amnesty that only resulted in 20 million more illegals waiting for the next one).

But we DO have much to fear from 0bama... in time I think you will finally realize that. And I am sorry you and the rest of America will have too. I'd rather that he was holding America's best interests at heart, but he is not.

Reagan bypassed Congress when he established the arms for hostages deal to aid the terrorists he supported in Central America. If only you'd been as concerned about indefinite detention during the Bush presidency. Your hatred of President Obama is most definitely irrational considering many of the policies you claim to oppose began during the Bush presidency.

0BAMA IS CURRENTLY OCCUPYING POTUS AND IS THE THREAT NOW! What is so hard for you 0bamacrats to understand about that???

Further, I was ELEVEN YEARS OLD when Bush was Elected, NOTHING I could do! Could not even vote AT ALL until November of 2008 - and I DIDN'T because I knew then, the pair of either choice was bad freaking news for this Nation and our Constitution and our Citizens!

I do not like ANYBODY who stands with the want-to-be-bringers-of Global totalitarian government (i.e. U.N. G20 G7, whatever the #uck you want to call them - but ESPECIALLY Freemasons, like 0bama)! NOBODY, NOT JUST 0BAMA!

AND I HATED BUSH TOO (SKULL AND BONES)!

Obama poses no threat to you; if a president is re-elected, he doesn't have to face the electorate again. This just didn't happen or begin with Obama. You seem to be a huge conspiracy crazy who finds bogeymen behind every door.

One can only guess as to what you think about the USDA program to preserve farmland.

No he isn't. If he WERE a Christian, he never would have gone to a muslim mosque during Ramadan and prayed with them. No Christian would EVER follow that tradition much less go into a mosque and pray. The church he had attended was anti-American as the pastor made very clear by his so-called sermon. No true Christian church would do that.

Not to mention hosting lavish IFTAR dinners in our own White House for Christ's sake! Refusing to even pretend to be Christian anymore (and I agree, that church was no church of God), only celebrating his heathen 'holdidays'! Romantically reciting the Qur'ran, showing only mockery and contempt of our Bible! And that's just the short list! I cannot BELIEVE there are actually Christians out there who believe he's one of us, let alone an American! Makes me SICK! Those such are SO ripe for satan's deciet it's not even funny! Sad!

Yes it is. Some of these people have no idea what a real Christian is. Just because they SAY they're Christians don't mean they are. If they don't follow the central doctrines of Christianity and do just the opposite of what Christianity teaches (including going into a mosque during Ramadan and praying with them), they are not Christians. As a Christian I would never enter a mosque and pray. They follow a very different God than what I do. Some people need to do their homework and find out what a real Christian is. The bible teaches it plain as day.

Nope, they don't. Christians believe in the Holy Trinity. The Father, the son (Jesus Christ who was God in the flesh), and the Holy Spirit, also God. The muslims reject the deity of Christ. They only believe in Allah and Mohammad the prophet. The Jewish people worship God but they reject the deity of Christ. So while these other two claim to worship God, they are worshiping a very different God than the Christians do. To reject Christ as savior means to reject God.

First, even Arab Christians refer to God as Allah. Do you hate Jews as much as Muslims since Jews do not accept Jesus' divinity? Your last comment is just nonsense; suggesting that Christianity is the only way to connect with God is the height of arrogance and most likely a sin. Jews, Muslims and Christians worship the same God; suggesting otherwise proves you're a religious bigot which, again, is a sin.

Using your logic, no Christian should ever go to a synagogue and pray with Jews. Your anti-Muslim hatred is amazing. I'm a Christian, and I've been to a synagogue to pray and I've prayed with Muslim women.

It's interesting you chose to block me. To put it as bluntly as possible, you're a religious bigot. Shame on you!

No one has the right to judge me. I don't hate muslims. I grew up with a muslim family, but I would never enter a mosque to pray with them. I would pray for them in my own church. But Obama cannot claim to be a Christian if he goes into a mosque and prays with the muslims. They worship a very different God than the Christians do. If he's a Christian he has to be a Christian all the way, not just halfway. Doesn't work that way. You reject Christ as the messiah or savior, then you reject God who was Christ in the flesh and died for us.
