Senator tells Holder (Eric the Red) to resign.

Annette 2012/06/13 16:13:15

"You’ve violated the public trust in my view by failing to perform the
duties of your office. So, Mr. Attorney General it is with more sorrow
than with regret and anger that I would say you leave me with no
alternative but to join those who call on you to resign your office,"
Cornyn told Holder directly
.

I love the way Senator Cornyn thinks....now if only Holder would comply (but know that'll never happen

I agree with Cornyn. Holder should resign...but he won't.

That sorry excuse for an Attorney General should be hanged for treasonous acts to the Citizens of the USA!!!

Glad to see it. However, I don't want Holder to resign. He can do far more damage to Obama by staying on as AG.

He won't resign - that would let the cat clearly out of the bag where 0vomit is concerned.

should obama be forced to get rid of holder ,we had better be prepared for obama to mess up the election. That's what I think anyway.

Messing with the election is a given - Holder however, could very well be forced to pull the plug on 0vomit regardless. The committee will get their hands on the paperwork they are looking for at some point.

Unless along with the justice of getting Holder out of there, it opens up the avenues that link 0vomit to this as directly as it has Holder. If they go after the President, he won't be able to have a lawyer speak for him - he will have to do that himself, and we all know how good he is at that! LMAO

And of course Holder said he has no intentions of quitting, after all, Obama has his back. But where are all the Democrats backing him up? where is Reid, Pelosi, even Obama? Is Holder going to be thrown under the Obama bus after all....one can sure hope.

Holder's actions are as transparent as crystal. He is lying and stonewalling and EVERYONE knows it. Defending him is political suicide, I think this is why no one is coming to his rescue. And exactly why he is trying for a compromise...he knows his ass is in deep crap

Just the word "compromise" tells me it was all wrong from the get-go. Yes he needs to resign and all his paperwork should immediately be handed over to the committee. His 'compromise' to me is nothing more than a stall tactic to perhaps have some of those records scrubbed or destroyed.

The comments on this only prove that none of you really knew actual corruption. Take a look at the record of John Mitchell to see what it really looks like. You cannot impeach someone for doing their job as they see fit. If Eric Holder has done nothing illegal what is he to resign for?
  • Annette gocar 2012/06/13 17:52:30

Nothing illegal? He refuses to even answer questions posed to him about fast and furious. That is what he has done wrong. Remember the words of the "emperor" about only people with something to hide? Holder is being held in contempt for several reasons. Not just that he won't give them answers, but he has been repeatedly asked for documentation which the subcommittee is fully and legally allowed to see and has refused to hand that over to him. Get with the real facts instead of your dumb politics.

Here we go again with a Republican Congress trying to hog the headlines with accusations of malfeasance in the AG office. I can remember the time and the MONEY they wasted trying to get Bill Clinton for something --ANYTHING! It is all designed to get people dissatified with any part of the Obama Administration. Can't you see the raw politics in all of this? Then you look to the source and see Weekly Standard which is a right wing rag that thrives on inventing scandal.

I didn't get it from the Weekly Standard, and quite frankly, you've got this all mixed up with "politics". This is pure scandal, and if you're not bright enough to recognize that the man has clearly lied to the committee, please stay off this blog. Holder is in complete contempt!
