Seems it's become "hip" in Lib media to report homosexual topics each and every day. Would you miss it if suddenly there were no more reports about "gay" this and "gay" that and homosexuals just went on with their lives quietly?

They're annoying. It IS a gimmicky fad. I mean, when a sexual preference becomes a marketing tool, we can see just how pathetic we've become as a society.

For people who claim that their sexual preference is a private matter gays and liberals seem to go out of their way to publicize their private activities.

It's just a vain attempt to normalize aberrant behavior.

I didn't miss it before the recent media fad, why should I when it goes away?

I would miss reading about Obama's buds. Where other than ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. would we hear about Obama's butt-slamming pals?

I don't have any more interest in what homosexuals do than they have an interest in my life.

I'd be glad if this disproportionate activism would be turned down a notch. I mean disproportionate in relation to the size of the affected group. One could almost get the impression that 40% of the U.S. population is gay :) I mean, why else would gay rights be so much more important than the crumbling economy?

I wonder why we don't hear anything from sexual identity minorities that don't fit under the LGBT umbrella. You know, people like sadomasochists (stop discriminating! Sadism is perfectly natural!), D/s practicioners (legalize sexual slavery! Our partners want to be owned, not just married!), exhibitionists (we're all born naked! Decriminalize indecent exposure NOW!), public masturbators...

I mean, they don't hurt anybody either, right? Well, sadists kinda do, but it's totally consensual. It doesn't matter how great a health risk sexual activities might pose, how much they might increase people's STD risk, as long as it stays between two or more consensual adults. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom (or darkroom, dungeon, public toilet or park) unless one feels like chatting about it at the watercooler, and if the listener so much as flinches he's a homophobic fundie bigot.

Anyway, where are you BDSM lifestylers, voyeurs, fetishists and polyamorists? Now is th...

Anyway, where are you BDSM lifestylers, voyeurs, fetishists and polyamorists? Now is the time to step out of the shadows and demand your equal rights! I guess somebody failed to inform them that they're oppressed and discriminated against. Someone forgot to rile them up against the majority population and organize their parades. Could it be that their particular kinks can't be used to further anyone's political agenda? Well, too bad for them I suppose.

I don't make a habit of watching broadcast news, so I don't care.

Notice the coverage in the Olympics is gay this and gay that?

Anything controversial is de facto interesting to the vast majority of the viewing audience. As such, its not difficult to surmise the media's love affair with anything gay.

No, I wouldn't miss them at all. Why does the media and gay community think it needs to be advertised; it just energizes people to be outspoken against the gay lifestyle.
