Karen Klein, a 68-year-old bus monitor in upstate New York, was recently harassed by a busload of students. After a disturbing video was posted to YouTube, police plan to investigate into the matter further and approach the students.

Lots of things these kids could do in the community to help out over the summer, I'm sure -- clean bedpans at a hospital, wash floors in the jail, pick up trash at the parks or along public roads. I hope Ms. Klein does something. The police can "approach" the students, but I don't know what good that will do.
And a report of the incident should go into their records and get attached to any college applications -- if any of the little trolls plan to go to college.
I hope their parents are ashamed. And angry.
I thought walking might be beneficial too -- actually I first thought of dragging them behind the bus but decided that would be going too far.

There would be no sleep overs, no vacation, no video games or computer, and every time they whined I would make them watch this video again.
Maybe just maybe they would think twice before forming their mouth to insult another human being.
I would be ashamed if any of them were my kids.
