This is a classic case of misrepresentation of the facts, apparently. It seems two Representatives were banned from speaking on the subject. I'm not aware of the other Rep's statements, and can only speak to what I heard this woman state.
She is twisting this situation to make herself appear to be the victim, when in fact she was rude, disrespectful and sophomoric. To accuse the Speaker of the House of being interested in her female parts was way out of line. It's not that she said the word 'vagina' it's that she inferred the Speaker of the House was interested in her's. That's uncalled for, and disrespectful and she deserves to have been censored on the issue if she can't conduct herself any better than that when trying to make her point.
The other claim she tried to make is that it was because she was Jewish. Both statements are out and out lies.
OK, I found out why Barb Byrum was also banned. It was because she was trying to pull the 'what's fair for the goose is fair for the gander' thing, which is fine if we're comparing equal situations. Byrum, a democratic Rep. was also against the bill which would have restrictions on abortions. She wanted an amendment to the bill to apply the same restrictions for vasectomies. Ridiculous! The point of the bill was protecting...

The point of the bill was protecting a fetus - a fertilized egg. It had nothing to do with sterilization surgeries, but she wanted to be certain to get back at the male population. Nifty. Doesn't matter if it's fair or equitable, just so long as the guys feel some pain as a result. Hmmm. Wonder if she was only elected to represent the females in her district?
So there you have it. These two were shut down for 1) being rude, disrespectful and throwing a backhanded accusation at the Leader of the House and 2) demanding an inappropriate and ridiculous amendment just to get back at the men.

did they censure Lisa Brown and Barb Byrum? oh, they didn't?
so - - then what was their crime that brought on this diatribe? the crime of being Democrats, perhaps?
funny. you can defend the free speech of 2 Democrats by condemning 2 others who had nothing to do with the incident.
well, no, it's not funny. it's rather sad, actually.
oh, wait.
or, maybe you aren't aware of that and are weighing in on an issue you don't know the facts about? could that possibly be?
nah.
or - - - - we could always leave them to it and see how well they handle the matter without us. I rather like that idea, myself.
meanwhile, I've seen PLENTY of her male counterparts who have attacked their opponents. and they weren't censured.
by proxy. by sending her party chair to tell her she was being silenced. like the coward he is.
and, meanwhile, what the house speaker did WAS an attack. on her rights - not to mention on her ability to do the job she was elected to do.
but hey - she's a woman. so the rules that apply to the her do not apply to the men in that august body, right?
Total shock value... typical.
Hi BOB!
J/K ~ I am happy with this one sweetheart!!! ♥♥♥ :D :D :D
are YOU aware of the fact that the Speaker did not inform the women that they were being silenced? that he gave no reason whatsoever when making the decision? that he sent the minority leader to tell them of it? that he is a coward?
so - no - I do not know what his motivation was.
I'm glad for you that you know how to read minds. I flunked that class in school, myself.
Reading minds? No, but Libs/progs are very good at interpreting outrage at speech that wasn't offensive all the time....speaking of interpreting outrage where none should exist is Lawrence O'Donnel being pissed off that Romney's wife rides a horse as her form of therapy in dealing with MS..... or Libs/progs excusing offensive behavior because the offending party is a party member or fellow kool-aid drinker....
I would guess you feel the same way about your penis. now - suppose governments across the nation were legislating against currently legal things you had been allowed to do with it and, suddenly, they were turning those things into crimes.
do you think you might have something personal to say about that?
just curious.
Pretty sneaky, Bob>>.... lolol
I've noticed the lack of a response to that comment....maybe it made an impression.... :)
