Did the assassination of Osama bin Laden secure a second term for President Obama? That's the prevailing wisdom among ... the ladies of "The View." So take that as you will.

Barbara Walters, in particular, thought that the news spelled certain doom for any potential GOP candidates.

"I would hate now to be a Republican candidate thinking of running," she said.

Not everyone joined in on the Obama praise-a-thon. Lone Conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, told her co-hosts, "Wait a minute. I think it is insane to politicize this event right now and I refuse to partake in that."

Yeah right... I honestly think the Economy will biggest issue in this election... People started to lose their jobs at the end of the Bush admin... and there are still a ton of people out of work and no end in sight... we have inflation going through the roof along with gas prices... and 1 in 7 on food stamps...

BTW, why are we taking political commentary from those bitter old biddies from The View? The only view that matters to them is their own and most of the time they live in a world of their own delusions... :-/

Not real sure what show this is you are talking about. I do know the women you refer to and wouldn't listen to anything they had to say (maybe why I am not familiar with the show)
Obama had so little to do with the operation to get OBL. His status has not changed one iota with me nor any level headed american citizen. He is a lousy one term occupier of the White House. His greatest accomlishment to date is the fact he occupied the white House when OBL was caught.
2012 he is gone and can I get a big AMEN!

Dweem on Baba Wawa... I will say one thing, had Obama not got Osama it would have assured his defeat. He had to go get him. President Bush put the means in place to get Osama and when it all came together President Obama HAD to act or the GOP would have buried him.

The talking heads are saying a bunch of trash as usual. It is only a bump and it won't last because we had the same problems we had before it happened, and with gas prices they are due to get even worse (again) and we will probably lose any small gains we had (and I do mean SMALL).
