neither, that picture's a fake.. just another lame ass attempt by Obama supporters to slam Sarah palin because they are scared to death of the fact that she's a head and shoulders above Obama..

just think about that for a second.. when your opposition's #2 pick is better than your own #1 pick, wouldn't you be scared too?????

here's the original picture, not the photoshopped one posted here.

obama oppositions 2 pick 1 pick scared picture photoshopped posted

    Clearly "2" fingers, not one.....

and here's the link to the site that shows them both...

She should get an education and shed her Fundamentalist trappings too.

...and perhaps YOU should get an education in how low Obama supporters will go. Start with this FAKE picture. Are you proud of your side?
I've got a better idea than her "shed(ing) her Fundamentalist trappings". Why don't you try respecting someone's FREEDOM OF RELIGION? I believe that's in the current version of the Constitution. Maybe you should acquaint yourself with that document.

I know it's a fake picture. I was just talking about Palin, not her child.

I respect her freedom to believe what she wants. She doesn't respect MINE. That's why I say she should shed her Fundie trappings. Because she brings her religion into secular government. THAT'S against the Constitution.

I didn't hear Palin telling anyone to convert. I did see you advising she shed her religion. That doesn't sound too respectful.

Every POTUS has brought along their religion into office. It's a part of your morality base and one of the things that make you who you are. THAT IS NOT UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Some of her policy positions have to do with her religious beliefs. There's no room for that in America. We have a secular government.

fuzzy Ken "In G-d We Trust"
I know she's anti-abortion. That's one, not some. Bush is also anti-abortion. SO WHAT?
As POTUS he had no influence on that. Sarah Palin was running for VP. She would have had even LESS of an effect.
Should we examine your candidate and the religious teachings that he learned at his church? Do I really need to post Rev. Wright's teachings?
Get a legitimate point or don't bother replying.

He had no influence on that? You mean aside from appointing far-right justices for the Supreme Court, the only way that Roe v. Wade can be overturned?
  • fuzzy K... Heptarch November 21, 2008 18:12:18
fuzzy Ken "In G-d We Trust"
..and yet they didn't did they? Hmmm?
Could the fact that 60% of Americans favor abortion have an effect? How about the fact that they have no legal cause to overturn it in the first place?

Nope, not yet. I imagine the radical right is pretty upset with them over that.

    So far so good, though.

so then it's a non-issue isn't it? Why bring it up? Oh wait. I forgot. Despite the fact that Roe v Wade is not in danger it is a rallying cry for all you to use against the right.
Any other non-issues you wish to talk about?

All I said was that he had influence in the only thing that could potentially change the country's legal position on abortion. The radical right has been agitating for the Supreme Court to reverse Roe v. Wade. It's not as if Bush didn't put the pieces into place. Thankfully the justices have acted appropriately.

Roe v. Wade IS in danger as long as the Supreme Court is mainly composed of far right justices. Is it in IMMINENT danger? Nah, probably not. But that could change any time.
  • fuzzy K... Heptarch November 24, 2008 14:19:12
fuzzy Ken "In G-d We Trust"
I do not believe that Roe v Wade will be overturned regardless of who sits on the bench. Past experience shows that the Justices have often put politics aside and attempted to be sound and just. Did they not judge against Bush with regard to Gitmo? They know that Presidents come and go but their position is for life and act accordingly.

The point isn't whether they will, really, but that they might, based on their personal politics.

I agree with you that the judges, historically, act appropriately. Further, they tend to be loathe to overturn their own decisions.

I just get a little jittery when the Court isn't purple.

    Anything's possible, I guess.
Personally, I am pro-choice but feel that it is really a State issue just like Gay marriage rather than a Federal one.
In cases of rape or incest or if the mother's health is at risk then it should be strictly a medical decision between the woman and her doctor. No government intervention at all.
When it comes to voluntary abortion, the citizens of each state should vote on it and fund appropriately.

I don't know... on the surface that sounds fair, but then you'd have states like Alabama or Utah that would essentially enact draconian abortion law.

This is a touched up picture. The child is absolutely adorable and has been raised in a lovely family with good values. By the way....I love Sarah's coat. She has such class. If John McCain had won ( :( ) Sarah Palin and Cindy MCain would never have worn a black dress with what looked like blood or ketchup all over the front of it!!!!! Did any of you see Obama's wife's dress????

Give me a break. No one can control their childrens every move and I would say that was photo shopped. Sarah Palin has come under more attack than anyone and it is a slap in the face to all working mothers. Women should be furious about what has happened during this election from Hillary to Sarah.

count on an Obama fan to doctor a picture, of all things, a child.. to dishonestly make the other candidates supposedly look worse. Birds of a feather...and even if the child were doing so, It has nothing to do with the qualifications of her mother to be a V.P. or even President. As far as I'm concerned, Bush wasn't any more qualified but was voted into office not once but twice.. I'd rather have her, a true American, who has a valid birth certificate, no ties to mobsters, muslim radicals, Russian socialist radicals, and a family preacher that was put in front of his children spouting racial hatred and Anti-American views as a role model , like Obama.

palin isn't qualified, but that's not why. even kids with the best parents do things like that sometimes. you can't keep your kids from being influenced by society.

    but that is really funny.

No, this high res shot shows no sign of tampering. If you can find an equal or higher resolution photo with the middle finger, you might be able to make a case.

(BTW, the old woman over the boy looks unconcerned for the manner in which they have been conversing. And Piper is holding a Target bag. Toys? I posit she is telling the boy how many toys or snacks she has in the bag to share. Her face looks like it's concentrating, not pissed.)

Can you say with certainty the picture retrieved from the link provided showing her sticking up two fingers is the original one? Because judging from her facial expression, she wasn't holding up a peace sign. Even if it is the original picture, she look more like she intended to use the middle finger only, but perhaps didn't know you use one finger instead of two. Whatever the case may be this is an old issue and who wants to talk about the Palin bunch any longer? They are in Alaska and where Sarah Palin should have remained from the beginning.

I think that is freaking funny. I think she has all the right to stick that little finger up. you didn't hear what the little boy said. He probly told her some lie about change or how he is going to give her some money she doesn't deserver... I don't know. I don't think that her knowing some American Sign Language is all that bad. No one is perfect, and honestly i can't judger her on the fact that her teenage daughter is pregnant. It happens the the best of them. My mom was pregnant at 17, my sister at 18, my brother had a child at 17. The funny thing is that I am 21 married and without a child. I think it is funny how now that have made my own way and am not in poverty, and that they never made a way, under Obama, they deserve my money that I make... I don't think so.

Let's see Track may or may not have shoplifted liquor and vandalized buses however he for sure hangs out with boys who do. Bristol did not feel the need to have protected sex as a teenager. And then little Piper who has an attitude in every family photo and has not problem flipping off another child in public...I wonder what she does when no one is looking. Oh! my gosh! are these kids crying out for attention or what. Let's see that leaves two and one of them is a baby. I know our economy can sure support secret service agents for 5 children as well as nannies and all the extra things that precious
baby needs. From the looks of it the kids would be better off if she was elected because than at least they might have nannies that will give them the love they are missing.
