She's referring to President Theodore Roosevelt's policy "walk softly, but carry a big stick". Meaning. Don't start trouble. But if someone attacks you, smash them down definitively.

I think that of the two candidates that you have he is more likely to be a better guide over the next few years.

That the western economy will collapse is a given, I am an analyst and we knew about this as far back as 2005. I suspect (and fear) that if Romney gets in then there will be a war both inside and outside the US that could quickly spiral out of control.

Well I dont believe that if Romney won there would be a war from his doing.It would be a war from what is now going on and would be carried over.I dont think that the economy will collapse if Romney got in, as I think he is a great business man and could fix the problem at hand over time, I do however think that things would get steadily worse in Obama's hands.

I would like to believe that Romney could fix the economy - unfortunately it is an international banking problem and not something that policy alone can fix.

It is a systemic issue and one for which there are now $Millions in prize money being offered to analysts and economists to any who can come up with a palatable solution to the problem.

These bouts of QE from the ECB and the Fed are short term fixes that cause problems in the future. They are only ever used in extremis... The Fed are now in round 3 QE in a short period of time - which to any who understand the economic system is very very worrying indeed. That is why the price of gold continues to climb.
