Sarah Palin gets 18th ethics complaint before resignation. Did Palin get what she deserved?

Chole July 15, 2009 17:49:07

Sarah Palin received yet another ethics complaint before resigning on July 26th. Andree McLeod filed complaint number 18 stating that Palin used funds, state staff and left Alaska without a governor to go on the campaign trail with John McCain. According to Alaska's state constitution, Palin should have turned over her duties to Gov. Sean Parnell. Out of the 18 ethics complaints filed against Sarah Palin, 1 was by a Democrat. Sarah Palin even admits that all the ethics complaints filed against her were one of the main reasons for her resignation. Did Sarah Palin finally get what she deserved?

    I think Sarah Palins resignation...

Is on point since she really hasn't done much more than travel and spend money dragging her family around with her. She has cost Alaska quite a bit of money. If indeed her tall all book makes her millions then she can pay for her own legal fees and back per diems.

Proves she quits when the going gets tough...if she couldn't handle being the Governor of Alaska, what the hell makes people think she's qualified to be president?

The woman has multiple complaints filed against her, and most likely there will be more. I suspect she resigned because she will need a tremendous amount of time to deal with these complaints, and to write her book and get it published before they garnish it for fines and legal fees, when she is found guilty.
    Just a thought!

Sarah Palin doesn't deserve to lose her position as Governor of Alaska

She didn't lose her position, she resigned. But no, these ethic violations are petty attacks because certain political constituencies feared her popularity. What the political attack machines did to her is disgusting.

Sarah Palin deserved to lose her position as Governor of Alaska

Leaving the State without a Governor seems like a 'no-brainer'.
Why wouldn't Palin temporarily turn over power to her Lieutenant when she was temporarily unavailable to perform her duties?

If she used funds and state staff, then, it would be in keeping with her clothes, per diem payments for attending Church, taking travel expense money for her kids travel, etc.

It was finally nice to hear that all the lawsuits weren't by dems as all the cons have said all alone. She brought this all on herself and she couldn't stand the heat so she QUIT! If she has any plans to run for anything but th PTA, she better get used to the public digging up as much dirt as they can on her. Obama's had to deal with it. It goes with the territory.

    I think Sarah Palins resignation...

was about time. She was bored...only REAL government issues to deal with...the lime light was fading rapidly...and she was broke. This way she gets to shine the spot light on herself as much as possible, make MILLIONS "writing" a book and fund raising. Anyone who thinks her fund raising appearances are going to be for free is kidding themselves!
