Sarah Palin Chats with Glenn Beck, Destroys Her Prospects

On a JetBlue flight, I watched Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin chat in Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty as their backdrop. The reaction among bloggers I read is mostly critical, but I am truly thankful that Fox News has decided to bring the former Alaska governor on as an "analyst," because every rambling, poorly thought out monologue she commits to the record makes it that much less likely that anyone will seriously consider her for higher office.

Imagine how this exchange, transcribed below, would play as an opposition campaign commercial before and after a presidential debate on foreign policy.

GLENN BECK: I think the paradigm is about to change. These people have overplayed their hands. You have a handicapped child. I have a handicapped child. I'm not going to call anybody handi-capable. I think it's insulting to everybody. First of all, as a mom, did I just anger you?

SARAH PALIN: No, for some reason I wasn't offended.

GLENN BECK: Good. This PC thing, I think a lot of people played this PC game for a long time. Because A, we're good people, nobody wants to hurt anybody's feelings generally. And B, Americans just want to get along. They're just like, 'It's not worth it, get along.' I think that's changing. I think people at home, you can call them racists, you can call them bigots, you can call them hate mongers, you can say they're starving the children, you can say anything. People are starting to say, 'I know the truth. I don't care what you say.' Agree or disagree?

SARAH PALIN: I agree that you're seeing that shift and thank god for that. Look at what some other countries are shifting into. Look what's going on in France, where that psychological abuse -- those words spoken that aren't politically correct and accepted in that country will be allowed. They'll be deemed illegal. Now some who want us to turn into a country like that scare the heck out of me. And unfortunately some of those people are leading our country today. And the French recognize, too, the potential in this free country, and the French gifted this to us, this, in partnership, this international symbol of liberty and freedom, the French hoping that we wouldn't lose that, and that we wouldn't evolve into something more along their lines. And yet --

GLENN BECK: Here we are.

SARAH PALIN: Yeah, look at this full circle thing.

And, of course, there was her answer to the "who is your favorite founding father? All of them."

The amount this woman talks off the cuff surely has an inverse relationship to her credibility.
You!

Sarah Palin, is a patriot, unlike Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, if she was elected to office would do what is best the our counrty and the American people, on the other hand if Hillary Clinton was to be elected to office, she would do what is best for Hillary, while telling the American People, that she was doing what was best for the country and the American people. Simple Lie against the truth!!!!

a soda head has stated that Sarah and Glen are ordinary people.i couldn't agree more.and for that reason i couldn't possibly vote for my good neighbors, for President.there is no way that these two have demonstrated that they have the ability required to run our country let alone solve our problems brought about by those who share your believes and have superior knowledge of your ideology.all that is required for them to become competitive with Obama is for them to provide verbally a few proposed solutions to our dilemmas.which so far they have not.i think it should be clear to all observers that the President by his/her self cannot solve all our problems.however,if you think they can lets try.it's your life also.

Sarah is a fitting representative for the current Republican Party, and I would love to see Todd running his ATV around the White House lawn after a rain.

You libs and quasi-libs know not of what you speak. Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are two of the finest leaders in the USA. That's why the libs and quasi-libs keep trying to destroy them. They do not fit into the mold of politicians in Congress and the White House who are liars, cheaters, and crooks. They represent ordinary Americans who are very concerned with the direction this country is headed under the usurper.

I don't hear her lying in any of her interviews. And, unlike Obama, she is able to carry on a conversation without "uh, um, well, I... uh...". Without his teleprompter, Obama is completely lost. The man cannot think for himself. Palin is the woman that will do this country good. She's got the experience and the knowledge of politics and she's got a good head on her shoulders.

I think the top comment is right, actually. At this point, I don't think Sarah Palin actually has a chance at the presidency. Even if she were to get the Republican nomination, Obama would have to do some ridiculous shit to get people to shift their votes that far to the right.

As far as I know, it's a little under 50 percent right now. If Sarah Palin were the opposing candidate, I think some of the liberals who may be disappointed with Obama might vote for him anyway.

I didn't hear a single lie the entire hour. Unlike the lies that spew from Obama on almost a daily basis. I prefer truthful common sense. Sarah Palin runs rings around what is currently in our white house--a man who is destroying our country.
