Sarah Palin Chats with Glenn Beck, Destroys Her Prospects

On a JetBlue flight, I watched Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin chat in Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty as their backdrop. The reaction among bloggers I read is mostly critical, but I am truly thankful that Fox News has decided to bring the former Alaska governor on as an "analyst," because every rambling, poorly thought out monologue she commits to the record makes it that much less likely that anyone will seriously consider her for higher office.
Imagine how this exchange, transcribed below, would play as an opposition campaign commercial before and after a presidential debate on foreign policy.
GLENN BECK: I think the paradigm is about to change. These people have overplayed their hands. You have a handicapped child. I have a handicapped child. I'm not going to call anybody handi-capable. I think it's insulting to everybody. First of all, as a mom, did I just anger you?
SARAH PALIN: No, for some reason I wasn't offended.
GLENN BECK: Good. This PC thing, I think a lot of people played this PC game for a long time. Because A, we're good people, nobody wants to hurt anybody's feelings generally. And B, Americans just want to get along. They're just like, 'It's not worth it, get along.' I think that's changing. I think people at home, you can call them racists, you can call them bigots, you can call them hate mongers, you can say they're starving the children, you can say anything. People are starting to say, 'I know the truth. I don't care what you say.' Agree or disagree?
SARAH PALIN: I agree that you're seeing that shift and thank god for that. Look at what some other countries are shifting into. Look what's going on in France, where that psychological abuse -- those words spoken that aren't politically correct and accepted in that country will be allowed. They'll be deemed illegal. Now some who want us to turn into a country like that scare the heck out of me. And unfortunately some of those people are leading our country today. And the French recognize, too, the potential in this free country, and the French gifted this to us, this, in partnership, this international symbol of liberty and freedom, the French hoping that we wouldn't lose that, and that we wouldn't evolve into something more along their lines. And yet --
GLENN BECK: Here we are.
SARAH PALIN: Yeah, look at this full circle thing.
And, of course, there was her answer to the "who is your favorite founding father? All of them."
The amount this woman talks off the cuff surely has an inverse relationship to her credibility.

The more she is in front of the camera the more comfortable she becomes with it the better she will come across. The better she comes across the more admirers and followers she gathers. 2012 will bring in a much better President.
Sarah Palin is a bona fide Idiot.
