Santorum is the political equivalent of an insanely jealous spouse. If he can't have the GOP nomination he's going to see to it the nominee doesn't win so he can get another chance in 2016.
Gingrich will do anything to make Romney fail because Romney beat him up in Iowa and he can't accept defeat.
The etch a sketch comment by Romney's top aid show a level of political ignorance at the top that is mind boggling, and the fact that he hasn't been fired reinforces the message that incompetence is acceptable.
I don't think any campaign can withstand the combination of jealous rage, vindictive anger, and incompetence that are now the public face of the GOP. If it can, it doesn't speak very well of the American electorate.
Santorum: Obama better than ‘Etch A Sketch’ Romney

SAN ANTONIO — Presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday said Republicans should give President Barack Obama another term if Santorum isn’t the GOP nominee and for a second day compared rival Mitt Romney to an Etch A Sketch toy.
Santorum reiterated an argument he has made before: Romney is not conservative enough to offer voters a clear choice in the fall election and that only he can provide that contrast.

Republican presidential candidate, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum holds an Etch A Sketch as he speaks to USAA employees during a campaign stop, Thursday, March 22, 2012, in San Antonio.
“You win by giving people a choice,” Santorum said during a campaign stop in Texas. “You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who’s just going to be a little different than the person in there.”
Santorum added: “If they’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk of what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate for the future.”
Santorum was referencing Romney adviser Eric Fehrnstrom’s comment Wednesday that “everything changes” for the fall campaign. “It’s almost like an Etch A Sketch,” he said on CNN. “You can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.”

Tea in the Harbor 2012/03/23 16:02:34I'm voting for Obama anyway

rick perry moment... opps.
Your very funny Mo.
Anyway, I'm not voting for Obama,
But all of the Republicans are complete Jerk Offs except maybe Romney but he is so vague to me he might as well be an Etch A Sketch.
Santorum voted to raise the debt limit 5 times, supported Arlen Specter over Pat Twomey, voted for No child left behind and voted for Medicare part D.
When does Santorum stand UP for conservative VALUES?
LOL

There's an old Ray Price song that fits Santorum, "Jealously Insane."
"IN YOUR MIND YOU IMAGINE CRAZY THINGS..WHY MUST YOU BE SO JEALOUSLY INSANE"
I would never speak for the Gipper, but, for myself, I have doubt, as a Conservative, he would approve.
