Ryan comes out swinging as Romney VP pick, condemns Obama 'record of failure'

doofiegirl POTL~PWCM~JLA 2012/08/11 17:24:27
Paul Ryan came out swinging Saturday in his new role as Mitt Romney's running mate, accusing President Obama of presiding over a "record of failure" and promising to speak "truth" to America's problems and correct course.
"We can turn this thing around," Ryan vowed, as he and Romney joined for the first time as the official 2012 Republican ticket.
The Wisconsin congressman, to the backdrop of retired battleship USS Wisconsin, gave a feisty opening speech -- setting the tone for the Romney-Ryan bus tour that's next on the agenda, and the race going forward. Dutifully promoting the top of the ticket, Ryan touted Romney as the solution to the economic problems under Obama.
Met with chants of "USA, USA" from a riled-up crowd in Virginia, Ryan spoke broadly about the virtues of free enterprise and specifically about America's economic woes, all laced with pointed attacks on the White House incumbent. Though Ryan's reputation is that of a reserved and wonkish pol, his break-out speech as running mate signaled he'll be playing offense for Romney quite frequently.
Ryan accused the Obama team of being "more worried about their next election than they are about the next generation." He blamed Obama's "misguided policies" for the economic rut the country's been stuck in.
"No one disputes that President Obama inherited a difficult situation. And, in his first two years, with his party in complete control of Washington, he passed nearly every item on his agenda. But that didn't make things better," Ryan said. "In fact, we find ourselves in a nation facing debt, doubt and despair. ...
"Whatever the explanations, whatever the excuses, this is a record of failure."

And that is the only record Incumbent has, a record of failure, much to the sorrow of it. Incumbent, with the lofty ideas and ideals of Hugo Chavez, has now cememted his position as the worst President in American History.

I watched the speech this morming and I couldn't have been more proud of the man's composure, direction and leadership skills. Obama and his team have spent four years making excuses and it is refreshing to see someone who commits themselves to ACTION instead of excuses!

The Romney/Ryan team had better be prepared to get "down and dirty" if they wish to go head-to-toe with Obama's Chicago thugs.

I believe we can look forward to some straight talk from Paul Ryan. The liberals are already lying about his budget plan, saying old people will turn against him. His plan actually gives people a choice for Medicare and is up for debate. No one over 55 is affected. As supporters we need to get the facts out. Liberals are hell bent on scaring old people, blacks, Hispanics and women. Keep dishing out facts to people you know, it will help destroy Obama's chance of trying to fool the uneducated.

I think he was a great choice. It is like a fresh breath of reality has decended upon us. It is time for the Republicans to take the initiative and stand up and be counted. We will have to challenge, and repute the lies as soon as they come up. No more whimpy behavior. We have two great candidates now so let's get busy and sell them.

The WH has already touted that Ryan would help the misguided libs campaign. This is no doubt another example of the lib's whistling in the wind. Now let us see how the current regime can defend their abysmal record. Ryan has the facts and the solutions. The WH? Not so much! We have to be geared up with our support to counter the hideous lies coming out of the current regime. The implication that Romney was responsible for a man's wife's death is low and a huge lie. How much lower can they sink with this type of advertising? I don't think they have bottomed out yet.

Obama and his miserably failed administration have given Romney and Ryan all the ammo they will ever need to blow holes in Obama. Romney is to weak-kneed to use it but Ryan will use both barrels. Seems like Ryan should be the one looking for a VP.

But in the final analysis -- anyone but Obama.

Whatever "WE Republicans" think or "WE Democrats" think REALLY does not matter! Paul Ryan comes from an area in Wisconsin that has never voted a Republican congressman in until Paul Ryan! Not just once, but four times! Not just by a narrow margin, but by 15 to 20%!

INDEPENDENTS look far beyond the silliness of obama's attack on Romney's tax records or obama's birth certificate! They are fiscally conservative and worry about our debt! NO better person to address those issues than PAUL RYAN!!! :)

    obama is TOAST!
