know all the details of your life, every missile, every warship, every little thing that makes you what you are. Then, when you need their help, like in dealing with North Korea, Iran, and world Islamic jihadists, there is no reason to fear sitting down with them and having a beer, inviting them to dinner, sharing a joke and a story.

I'm really surprised to be reading this. I felt we were more likely to be facing up against them in the European country of Georgia or Azerbaijan. Anyway, I don't like the idea of our navies drilling together, unless there's some plan of cooperation against China.

Russia is no longer our enemy. We have better friends, but they fight religious terrorism as much as the US does. Our actual interests are not far apart. I wouldn't object to sharing a brewskie with a Ruskie.

Obama is just a front man for an International alliance that is functioning out of Moscow.

There was a time that Japanese planes and German ground troops made newspapers every single day. So it goes with Russia. The Cold War is over. It's a new day, and there is no surrender. Our astronauts share the Space Station.

We bombed the hell out of Japan; Japan was the only nation to have a nuclear attack and it was the United States that dropped the bombs; Japan is now one of our closest allies. Yesterday's enemy is today's friend. Don't hold such grudges.

As cruel as it is to think of it this way, and in no way am I belittling individual life, but casualties of war, on average, are equivalent to a black eye or bloody nose for the nation. That's why even if as individuals we have trouble moving on, as a nation we can.
