Rush Thinks Women are Getting "over-educated"- wants you tied to a stove, barefoot and pregnant ?

Now we all know Rush has proven to say some very sexist, anti-women,
racist and bigoted comments and now he is suffering the consequences as
his advertisers leave him.

So he is fixing the problem by accusing women of being "over-educated"
and says having an education does not mean you are intelligent.

History has shown that the Conservatives fought against equal rights to
education and women's rights to vote, to have equal pay, and to control
their own bodies.

It is plain to see that Rush and most Conservatives view women as second
class citizens that should not want higher education and rights because
it would make them competitive with men and able to defend themselves
from the ego driven sexist men like Rush.

So do you think Rush is right and women should not pursue education and
should stay in that kitchen and tied to the stove barefoot as nothing
more than babymakers and sex toys for Conservative men ?

All the book learnin' in the world, BTW, won't teach you to make a good pot of grits. That takes life experience. Apparently you don't know about that either. The young woman in the bottom pic is obviously preparing dinner for her family which is about to expand in size. May I ask...have YOU ever been pregnant? Have you ever been pregnant and lived in the South where it is very warm? The implication you are making by posting that picture is insulting to EVERY woman. Barefoot? MY GOD MAN...you try carrying around a new person in your tummy, see how your feet feel, swollen and hot.

Your lies are sounding more desperate. Could it be that you realize that the sponsorship that Rush has lost has others fighting for the ad slot? Could it be that you realize that Rush is not going anywhere? In fact he is probably doing quite well in the ratings since you haters have given him so much free publicity?

Rush was not implying that women shouldn't get an education, and he is not the misogynist you would make him out to be. But you just keep repeating the lie, I'm sure some sheeple will bleat along behind you. In the meantime I will make ...

The answer choices have either sexist or Female lib propoganda written all over them. Grits? That's offensive also. Grits are mostly a Southern food and it's hard enough being pregnant and trying to cook (the pregnant belly gets in the way a lot) but the South has very warm weather and when we're pregnant we are hot easily because of the extra body fat, work our bodies are doing creating a life, and the hormones raging through our pregnant bodies. Barefoot? It's a lot more comfortable to walk around barefoot while pregnant because as any of us women who've been pregnant/are pregnant will tell you, our feet swell up if we're on them too much especially if we're wearing shoes. As to the Rush comment, his point is very true and applies to MORE than just us women. How many college educated people work at lowly fast food jobs or at the local Wal-Mart? A LOT! Nothing wrong with pursuing a college degree but too many people have them now days and many have degrees that are pointless and won't help secure a job.

The unemployment for people with a degree is less than 6% without a degree it 11%. people with a degree make twice as much as people without a degree.

But how many of them have careers in the field that they STUDIED? How many are working minimum wage jobs? How many are underemployed (meaning that they have a job but don't have enough hours to really make it on thier own)? How many got their jobs because of thier degree and how many were hired for thier SKILLS? Just because you HAVE A DEGREE doesn't mean that you can do the job that goes with that degree. Some people are qualified in theory but they are unqualified in practice. Also how many of them had a job PRIOR to/while attending college and just kept that job after college? I said that it doesn't neccessarily secure a job meaning that most companies are looking at less and less at whether you went to college and more and more at prior work history and experience. Too many people have degrees in something now days and companies are now getting pickier and looking past the college thing now. Grades & degrees mean nothing if you're an ''educated idiot'' that lacks common sense and real world experience.

Most good paying long term jobs won't even consider you without some college or a degree anymore.

Lots of people that graduated end up working in a different field but they had the basic education from college that shows they can learn the skills for any job.

Now if you doubt that try to get a good paying job in anything besides blue collar work.

Um, no. Many places want you to have WORK EXPERIENCE and a degree. The degree doesn't matter if you can't get the big break which usually ends up being at a fast food joint, Wal-Mart, or some crappy blue collar job. No work experience, no job; no degree no job. That's the dual problem. Many places now won't hire you JUST FOR your degree since soooo many people have degrees that they need to be sure that you've actually worked and have real world job experience, have a good work record, and you have skills that will benefit them. Companies don't want to hire paper dragons who look good on paper but in real life are just expensive paperweights in real life in this economic climate. Only place that will regularly hire inexperienced ''educated idiots'' or just inexperienced ''idiots'' in general is your retail stores & fast food. That degree is only as good as the work ethic, experience, & character the person who got it has. Companies have figured this out. Degrees are icing on the cake and not the cake itself.

Ok, I listened to the audio and I didn't hear barefoot and pregnant. I did hear over-educated. Not sure what he meant by that either. But, education equals financial power and freedom: I can get a better job, have more money to give my family a better life. That's how I see the education I'm pursuing. Now, on the other hand, I do know an over-educated woman, though she's not white. She has two bachelor's degrees, an MBA, an MLS, I think an MIS and I believe one in computer science. Overkill? Yes, especially since she's not a CEO or making over 100,000 yearly. Now THAT'S over-educated. If a woman wants to be barefoot and pregnant, more power to her. It's her choice.

You're reading far more into this than there is. Yes, there are many educated women who have the smarts to see what happens when they don't raise their own children and leave it up to public education. There are many educated men and women flipping burgers. And he's totally right, having a college degree doesn't make you smart. Funny,, but all the conservative men I know, including my husband like smart women. They know it takes a partnership for a successful life.

Oh good God... that's not what he was talking about (women in general) but, it just so happens that the 2 that made stories for the week were white progressive women. And he's absolutely correct... having an education does not make one intelligent. I know a good portion of "highly educated" both male and female who haven't got a lick of common sense between them. No, education does not equal intelligence by a long shot.
