Ron Paul supporters: If Ron Paul doesn't win the Republican nomination, for whom will you vote in the general election?

You!

I ask that Ron Paul supporters only vote in this poll -- only those Republicans who will vote for Ron Paul in the primary or independents who support Ron Paul and hope he wins the nomination.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I will vote for the Libertarian Party Nominee. The Ron Paul movement is not just to get him elected but to further the Libertarian dreams of true individual liberty. So, I will not write in a vote for Ron Paul. I will do my best to help him pass the torch of liberty to the next generation of constitution defenders.

It has been my position all along that I am voting for Ron Paul...that is non-negotiable. If the Republican party wants to benefit from my vote, they need to make him their nominee.

You don't even list Gary Johnson? Duh!

And you don't even know that write-ins get zero electoral votes, so they can't count?

Unfortunately, I'm Canadian, and I can't vote for Ron Paul. I would, however, strongly encourage Ron Paul supporters to write him in or your vote is totally wasted, either by not voting against the corruption of Obama and Romney or by not supporting the only true candidate of the 2012 Presidential race, Dr. Paul. If you don't write him in, how do you consider yourself a true supporter?

Write-ins can't count. The Paul troops will move to Gary Johnson, along with many others.

Paul holds the libertarian philosophy, and it's quite obvious that he realized that, given the arbitrary powers of the controlling parties, it was necessary to return to the Republican label if he was to continue his political career. If/when the RINO's dump him about August 27, Paul has nothing to lose and everything to gain by standing on the courage of his convictions.

The hard fact is that write-ins get zero electoral votes and therefore count for nothing - wasted votes.

I have supported Paul thru this fiasco, but our only alternative will be to move, or once again forfeit our Libertarian ideals. I am a "Paul Troop" who WILL move, along with many others - we have already seen that happening right here. Also moving will be many disenfranchised conservatives, independents, and the anti-war crowd.

After 40-some years of our floundering LP, It may seem difficult to believe, but this can finally be our year of rising above the scum in this pound. I've read your profile and I believe that you'll be with us; there's really nowhere else to be!

I will fight for RP up to the convention and hope he gets a re-count because I think he has been ripped off of delgate votes. But if Mitts get the nom, I have to go with him, bad as I hate it. We can't risk another Perot debacle. Another 4 years of Obama and life and liberty as we know it will cease to exist. I'm putting my bets on his RP's son for 2016.

If you don't like Mitt Romney, don't vote for him, or Obama. Obama doesn't lose or win if one vote doesn't go to Romney. Try not to sacrifice your own beliefs in order to crush Obama. If you vote for someone you don't believe in, then what's the point in voting at all?

We are gonna HAVE another Perot thing. Don't you wish you'd paid attention to the Dem-Rep monopoly vs runoff voting. The RINO's lose and Johnson wins.

you are right, but hey i hear drug dealers are looking for good money men, just a thought and joke. finding honest work that pays well is hard. i wish you all the best.

LOL, your analogy with drug dealers isn't only a joke but a quite fair comparison for me.

I know a lot about 'drugs', 'gangs' and the harmful effects. Would like to have a job where I can help educate the public specifically how the harmful effects come into being, promote only proper drug use for medicinal benefits, come up with strategies that embolden neighborhoods to kick out the gangs and stop the structures that help them growing as cancers in the first place.

Anyone of the Republican candidates would be an improvement over Obama. From the numbers above I would have to say that many would rather see Obama back in office as they would write in Ron Paul and these action would guarantee that result.
