Looks like Old Ronnie won't be speaking at the GOP convention this year in Tampa Bay so he's going ahead and spending the remainder of his campaign cash for a wild party of his own. Aug. 26 for most of the day at the University of South Florida’s Sun Dome.

Isn't it ironic that his son Rand will be a guest speaker, but Ron will not be invited?

So it looks like this will be Old Ronny's last hurrah before being delegated to the dust bin of history for presidential wannabees.

To me, it appears Ronny is trying to prove a point, however I could be wrong.

Wouldn't it be funny if no one shows up?

Well, I say more power to him. Go ahead and have your spoiled brat party and then look around and see if anyone cares.

The RNC has made it quite clear from the start that they were planning to snub Ron when it came to giving him a speaking position. If they really think it's a good idea to alienate the most young and passionate segment of the Republican base, they'll have to deal with the inevitable consequences.

If I'd donated money to Ron Paul, I would rather it be spent on a 'wild party' than be put into Republican coffers.

This is the makings for the next American "civil" war. There are many going to Tampa to get Ron Paul the nomination or die trying.

The Liberty movement should have a voice and a convention.

RP is one cagy cuss. I'm betting he's STILL got something major up his sleeve. But we'll see soon enough.

Perhaps his "party" will see him moving his troops to kick off the rush to Gary Johnson. It's far from over, and the playing field will be leveled at last.

    You got it!

And WHEN Republicans lose (badly!) to Obama, this will be the main reason why. They've been alienating their conservative base for decades!

Don't know what to think, although I love his libertarian politics, he's politically nonviable. Whatcha gonna do?

Many who did that almost gave us Al Gore in 2000, I'm from Florida remember, we were the butt of many a comedians joke after the 2000 election. Bush won Florida with around 600 votes. Anybody but Obama!

Watch more people show up to the Sun Dome than at the RNC Convention.
