Ron Paul: My Plan to Restore America

I'll lay out my Plan to Restore America, which:

*** CUTS $1 trillion in federal spending during the first year of my presidency without taking one penny from our seniors, our veterans, or our national defense;

*** BALANCES the federal budget in my third year;

*** ELIMINATES FIVE federal departments,
including the bloated Department of Education, which
Newt Gingrich voted to create, and Rick Santorum voted to
dramatically expand;

*** REDUCES the federal workforce by 10%,
slashes congressional pay and perks, curbs
excessive federal travel, and lowers my salary as President from
$400,000 to $39,336 - which is roughly equal to the
median personal income of the American worker.

No other candidate has put forth such a serious proposal for real change.

No other candidate has received as much support as
me from those who know we cannot afford to select Mitt Romney as our
nominee.

Matter of fact, many of my opponents have struggled
to get on the ballot in several states - or completely missed doing so
all together.

So I urge my opponents who have been
unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney
to unite behind my candidacy
.

I believe my constitutional conservative credentials are unmatched.

I am:

*** 100% Pro-Life.
I have introduced legislation in Congress to federally define life as
beginning at conception, and as President, I will
fight to repeal Roe v. Wade by passing a "Life at Conception Act."

*** 100% Pro-Second Amendment.
I've received a lifetime "A" rating from the NRA, and I was given
the "Defender of the Second Amendment Award" by Gun
Owners of America in 2011. I've voted against gun control - EVERY time.

*** 100% Pro-Right to Work.
I have never caved to the union bosses' pressure. I voted to defeat
Big Labor's "Card Check" scheme, and I will
continue the fight I've led as a congressman to the White
House by fighting for passage of a National Right to Work Act.

*** 100% Pro-Health Freedom.
I have introduced legislation in Congress to repeal ObamaCare's
hated individual mandate. As President, I will order all
federal agencies to stop enforcing any rules and
regulations related to ObamaCare, and I will veto any bills that fund
this unconstitutional powergrab.

While Mitt Romney receives his most contributions
from Wall Street, the top three donors to my campaign by occupation are
U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.

[and yes, there's more

    A vote for the establishment dems and republicans is a vote for the same old crud that both crony filled party's have been dishing out to the American people for decades now.

    Ron Paul is the only clear choice for people who believe in Social and Economic freedom and prosperity for all Americans.

    with foolish claims of an American Empire, that the USA is the cause of bully governments all over the world, that we should obey something called international law that does not allow us to respond when American aircraft are attacked, and that we deserved to be attacked and presumably still do. He views other governments as sovereign, which is a misunderstanding of government. The People everywhere are sovereign as individuals with equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

    I would eliminate 7 federal departments, not just 5. I would also eliminate the SBA, Peace Corps, FTC, FERC, Federal Reserve Board, SEC, and the NLRB. I would replace the EPA and the FCC. I would sell off the TVA, end funding for the Corp. for Public Broadcasting, sell off the USPS, and eliminate the Export-Import Bank and Amtrak. I would cut the number of government employees, who are largely mischief makers and central planning tyrants, by at least 25% as a start, and ultimately by more.

    I do not believe the government has the right to force women to carry fetuses to birth.

    Without doing further research, I'll wing this a bit. I don't pretend to speak for Ron Paul, but what I personally would expect of him. I think you'd find Ron Paul wanting us out of the UN, so it would follow that the NWO and international law would be off his mark.

    Sovereign nations would mean in and of themselves, and independent from all other nations. Sovereignty for the people would be right up his ally.

    I doubt Ron Paul would have any problem with eliminating the entire federal bureaucracy, all bureaus. I suspect that his choosing only 5 was merely political expediency, LOL. After all, he must first get elected; only then can anyone push for more! So 5, then 7, then more, but the wheels of liberty have pretty well ground to a halt, and the train has about run out of fuel. It would be best to just let this house of cards totally collapse and restart with a clean piece of paper.

    I don't feel that Gov has any business whatsoever attempting to define abortion rules, one can't make "opinion" into "law". Free personal choice should remain free, at all levels of government. It's even impossible to determine when abortion becomes murder, so it's all best left alone. All of us have our 'opinions' but proof is another matter.

    On the opinions you state here, I agree with you, except your second paragraph. On that issue we will have to see, but Ron Paul has implied a number of times that when we interfere with another nation's treatment of its own people, we are violating the sovereignty of that nation. He seems to think that is immoral and other nations have the right to violate the rights of their own people. Perhaps he is saying this carelessly and does not really mean what he has said. It sure is not consistent with how he sees the rights of American individuals.

    Trouble is, few if any candidates for replacements are likely to have a foundation of principle. If congress isn't straightened out, it doesn't make much difference who is president because it'll be all more of the same.
