Ron Paul interviewed after Ames straw poll speaks on the Media Blackout and other issues: Leadership?

Sheepdog 2011/08/18 14:12:12

Ron Paul sits down with ABC13 08/16/2011

One of the things I like the best about Dr. Paul is that he keeps his cool when under pressure with common sense replies.

(Note: It is difficult to hear the questions you may want to turn up the volume before listening.)

He really is the only candidate who speaks intelligently with well thought out arguments instead of buzz words and talking points. It is such a shame that the media and GOP establishment refuses to give him the respect he deserves. He is also the only candidate running as a Republican that can draw votes away from Obama because of his non-interventionist policies and pro-liberty stances. He has been ignored for years, but it has been particularly upsetting to see the degree to which the media is going to pretend he doesn't exist in this election cycle...even when other candidates are suddenly jumping on the bandwagon of some of the ideas he has been talking about for decades.

The interviewer should have a microphone. Very difficult for me on a laptop right now to hear the questions.

I totally agree, they are cherry picking the topics Paul has been talking about for decades, choosing the ones they can sell to the neocons.
Glen Beck has done this also to an extent.

They tend to use a loaded straw man arguments. I hear you want everyone to use heroin. I hear you don't want kids to get an education. ........

"I hear you want Iran to have a nuke"- except that one is just wrong because of the word "want"
