Ron Paul gets endorsement from five members of Romney’s family? What do you think about this?

Texas Rep. Ron Paul on Monday announced that five distant relatives of rival Mitt Romney’s family are endorsing his Republican presidential campaign.

A news release from the Paul campaign boasts of having the support of Ty Romney, Travis Romney, Chad Romney, Jared Romney and Troy Romney. Three of the Romneys — who live in Idaho — will speak on Paul’s behalf during the state’s caucuses on Tuesday.

“I support Ron Paul because he defends the Constitution, loves America and understands what it means to be an American, including the right to live your life any way you want as long as you respect others,” said chiropractor Travis Romney, a second cousin once removed from Mitt Romney.

This isn’t the first time a family member of one of Paul’s rivals announced support for the libertarian-leaning candidate from Texas. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s nephew, John Garver, penned a column for The Daily Caller endorsing Paul.

The fact that they both support different aspects of pauls campaign is an interesting point. He hasn't put forward any communist or racist policy or legislation though, that says to me that they must agree with his policies on a level separate from theory own politics. Being racist doesn't mean you don't believe in free markets, or sensible foreign policy, or any other of pauls policies, it just means you are an ignorant bastard who happens to support something that makes sense. I can't speak for them, but maybe the antiwar left, and the racist far right like his smile? Oh and I support Gary Johnson for president.

I agree with non-interventionism to the extent that we do not poke our nose in other people's business but allowing Iran to get nukes is suicidal and rooted in a hope that Iranians kill Israelis.

I agree with the smallest government possible but claiming to support small government while lobbying for pork is hypocrisy.

I agree with individual liberty but if you don't defend the right of the unborn to live then you are not really pro-life are you?
