Romney's New 'You Didn't Build That' Attack Ad: What Do You Think?

Mitt Romney got a gift from the political gods last Friday night when President Obama made his now infamous "You didn't build that" speech in Virginia. The Romney camp didn't waste much time using the President's remarks to galvanize their campaign around the fact that President Obama seems to think that the government makes business happen.

In all fairness to Obama, it sounded like he was talking about the bridges and roads when he said "you didn't build that" but the comment was ambiguous enough to be taken either way. In any event, it is political gold for Mitt Romney who can now paint the president as anti-business and out of touch with what makes America great.

FOXNEWS.COM reports:
Mitt Romney's campaign kept up the drumbeat of criticism Thursday over President Obama's you didn't build that gaffe, releasing a scathing web ad in which a New Hampshire business owner says: President Obama, you're killing us out here.

Obama [no PBUH] IS "anti-business". I can't believe that ANY person in their right mind would think otherwise.

Romney is anti-American business. That is why he exported jobs running Bain, a business where nothing is produced. That is why he won't release his taxes--they show he cares nothing for his country in practice.

The government's job is to maintain an environment that makes it easy for businesses to stay in America to do their business. Excessive regulations & taxation pushes businesses out of the country. Romney was a businessman. I don't blame him one iota. Perhaps he's the guy to change the regulations & taxation so his fellow businessmen can begin keeping most of their businesses here in America for a change. Obama [no PBUH] & his evil minions are doing all they can to ruin this country. We all know it.

Because a tax rate of zero is too much? Zero???!!!! Excessive regulations like living in a society where the government can't do whatever it wants--LIKE CHINA? Americans make poor slaves when compared to those in totalitarian regimes--so right wingers decide, "Well hell; if we could be more like China (undrinkable water, political prisoners, air not fit to be breathed, forced impoverished labor), then maybe we will have jobs". If not for the 'liberals' who regulate to a degree you think is 'excessive', there would be no middle class, no rights for workers, eighty hour workweeks for all, and toxic waste EVERYWHERE. Go to the countries where Mitt Romney exports jobs, live like they do, then come back and tell me there is excessive business regulation. Go work in a factory twelve hour days six or seven days a week for just enough food to eat until you are injured and no longer "employable" and have them toss you out on the street worse off for having worked there. Mitt paid a paltry fourteen percent tax on his vast fortune on the one year he CHOSE to release tax records, and that was a year he was cleaning up his act to run for president. HOW is a zero tax too much; Especially when corporations get constant hand outs from the low and middle classes that you so deplore? ...

HOW is a zero tax too much; Especially when corporations get constant hand outs from the low and middle classes that you so deplore? Romney was not a businessman. He is just very good at being a welfare recipient. Now he wants more and will trample the middle class to get it. So get ready to compete with Mexican, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Vietnamese, and other impoverished workers. The only way to "compete" is to severely degrade your health, lifestyle, and cultural expectations. Then you can see how many of those regulations you hate. I will take a safe, decent-paying job where I have a few rights over the lifestyle of the third world countries. The government's job is to protect the rights of individuals, not to make sure Mittens can become a billionaire. France has far more government regulation and a higher gdp per person than America. They get paid far more than Americans, have free healthcare, and at least a month off work every year. And they are more productive!!!!! So; are we going to be France, or Mexico? You want no vacation or vacation? Do you want healthcare or no healthcare? Romney wants a third world America, where he can continue his glorified people trafficking in peace and quit being embarrassed because he still is not a billionaire who produced NOTHING for our society.

China? Are you serious? Wasn't it Biden who not too long ago all but praised China for their abortion rate where no couple can have more than one child, & if it's a female, it's more likely to get aborted? Isn't it China that Obama [no PBUH] is getting much of his money to float America in its first time ever to have its credit rating lowered? Isn't it Obama [no PBUH] who came right out & said that he not only planned to "fundamentally change" America, but plans to "share the wealth" as he promotes & elicits citizens to turn in their fellow citizens for saying anything negative against him (socialism, Animal Farm, 1984). There is a LOT more to Third World countries & poor areas than just employment stats. It is disingenuous of you to only talk about one part of their lives. You left out the dictators/tyrants they have in charge of the country, the fact that they worship a false god(s), & their basic values & cultural differences that promote poverty & subservience.

Mitt Romney is not paying "zero" taxes. You're being a real idiot when you say stuff like that. Stop being a lap dog for the leftist media, or I'll have to start throwing you some bones.

Good, another liberal blocker (or is that an oxymoron, w/ emphasis on the moron). You cannot support your beliefs, as you get your opinions from the heavily leftist liberal media. Conservatives have ONE news station to about 5 on the Liberal end of things, & yet liberals yell loudly that conservatives are being brainwashed, lol. No, it's quite the other way around....everything liberals watch or listen to are heavily weighted to left propaganda, & then they spout off lies & repeat the propaganda on sites like these. You are an ideal stereotype of the liberal/progressive mindset. In fact, you could be a poster child. Anyway, thank you for blocking me, as it saves me the time & effort. Have a great week! (mean it)

P.S. I have to work many jobs in order to support people like yourself who believe that work is worthless as long as others will give you their money. That is a horrible way for someone to live, as it adversely affects their already low self-esteem. People with low self-esteem give their opinions of others, then block them so that they are not able to respond. They are also known as "cowards".

What does it mean to "all but praise"? That seems a fancy way of saying "didn't praise, but I am twisting it around to suit my purposes."

The second thing I loved that made your argument very compelling was your personal insults; I always know that means you don't have much.

Your first paragraph is just full of lies that you've heard from talk radio and are repeating because you are convinced that anything that doesn't fit your worldview must be wrong--you adjust your reality instead of adjusting your opinions. If Mitt Romney is not paying zero taxes at least fairly often, why will he not release his tax returns to the American people?

You right wingers are always the hardest working people; aren't ya? My experience has been that the more right wing someone is, the lazier and more incompetent they are in the workplace.

I like that you point out that dictators/tyrants are running many of these countries. They make life VERY good for job exporters like Romney. Tyrants make slaves to work for Mitt Romney--not a very ringing endorsement of the effect this pompous stuffed shirt has had on the world, is it?

Flagged for personal insults. Blocked for general boorish behavior. Go back to your seventy five jobs. It's a wonder you find the time to be on a time wasting web site like this one.

Are you wrong on purpose? It turns out Obama has the exact opposite position than the one you represent about taxes and medals. Why lie? I guess corruption trickles down from Republican leaders--they can only defend by lying. Here is proof you are wrong. http://www.latimes.com/news/p...

Romney capitalized on Obama. Romney simplified and twisted the Obama message for the Republicon's simple brains. We all know thay can only see things in black & white. sigh

If you want to see what corporations are doing, look into Caterpillar and what their profits were this year and what they want to do to workers, but give management big money.

Obama should have just repeated what Elizabeth Warren said about no one builds a company alone. I wish she'd run for president because Obama & Romney are corporatists and neither represent what their party stands for.

HA! Caterpillar is one of Obama's favorites! He pushed his first "bailout" in their factory, touting the jobs "he" created. Unbelievable that you'd pick that company.

And if you buy Elizabeth Warren's crap, then you need to admit that all the companies that fail are the fault of the government, too (which I'll guarantee you--the government is responsible for far more failures than successes). It's pure leftist lunacy that's grounded in nothing but fanciful Marxist jingoism. Pathetic. And you call Republicans "simple"??? HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Romney to Olympians - "You didn't win that"

In 2002, Mitt Romney put to rest the myth of the self-made man by lecturing the Olympians in the opening ceremonies, that it takes a village to raise an Olympic champion.
