Romney's Investments In Iran And China Prove We Need More Of His Tax Returns

ProudProgressive 2012/09/25 11:38:24
Mitt Romney's ongoing desperation to keep his tax returns a deep dark secret is almost getting to be funny. After taking six months to manipulate his 2011 return to cover his claim that he pays "at least" 14%, and after his so-called "summary" of his prior years once again fell flat, the questions about Romney's financial past are only more glaring. Still, I suppose Romney would rather people focus on his avarice than on his condemnation of half the population of the United States as lazy bums who refuse to take personal responsibility for their lives.

Article excerpt follows:

Romney's Investments In Iran And China Prove We Need More Of His Tax Returns
By Teeluck Sooknarine
September 24, 2012

Mitt Romney refuses to give the American people more than two years' tax returns, saying that there is so much fodder in them that Democrats will find too many things to grill him on. I understand and agree with Mitt, there is a lot of information in his taxes that Dems may find to use against him, but that is no one's fault but his.

It was revealed on The Rachel Maddow show tonight and is also being shown by FT.com, that Mitt's been investing for quite a while …years to be exact, in Iran, which has been an illegal practice for a while now.

Rachel revealed that one of the companies that Romney had invested in, whether knowingly or not, is ‘Cnooc' which is a Chinese owned company that tried to buy the American company ‘Unocal' in 2005, but was restricted from doing so on the basis that the merger represented a National Security risk, the deal was frowned upon by lawmakers and was subsequently scrapped.

After this catastrophe and I think in retaliation, the Chinese gave approval for Cnooc to invest in a deal with Iran in 2009…seven months after which the highly publicized deal was invested in by Mitt's ‘blind' trust. I remind you now of one of Rachel's favorite clips which shows Mitt saying that a "Blind Trust" is just an ‘age-old ruse' as you can stipulate what your blind trust is allowed to invest in, thereby making Mitt ultimately responsible for the investments his blind trust invested in, under his prior stipulations.

The investments were made by the trust in 2009, which is well after Mitt ran for the Republican nomination, being edged out by the McCain/Palin ticket. This is definitely the best reason for Mitt to release his taxes, so Americans will have an opportunity to meet the real Mitt Romney before we vote for him to become the President. Release the hounds Mitt…release the hounds!

I wish Harry Reid would start bringing up Romney's taxes again, there isn't near enough pressure on Mittstery to show income tax transparency.

What it proves is that what he is hiding goes deeper than his 14% income tax rate. At this point, none of us need to see his returns to know that he is hiding something that would more than likely land him in the pokey.

We are not talking about the president's eligibility. We know that is a distraction the
0-bots throw out to distract others when they don't have an intelligent response.

    Nice try, but no cigars!

How, what examples can you give when distraction has been used as a tactic by Obama supporters that wasn't planted by FOX New?

My statement was a reference to Batman.

Distraction is a major 0-botic tactic, and I am not going to waste my
time listing them. Anyone who has been paying attention knows it
is a routine tactic with Liberals.

There's much more evidence to support Romney's a tax dodger than there ever was to suggest President Obama wasn't born in Hawaii.

But you don't see the contradiction, do you?

Here's GM's new CEO that Barry installed, bragging about 7 of every 10 GM vehicles now being manufactured outside the U.S. He seems rather proud that the Research and Development that will be relocated in China as well.
I guess American workers from the Janesville plant in Wisconsin couldn't make the switch from building SUV's and small trucks, to the Chevy Spark - electric either. That will be shipped, fully assembled to the U.S. from S. Korea.
TOYOTA & Honda are more 'apple pie' than GM is.

The competition in China between GM and Ford is fierce, should GM not be competitive there? Ford is building a new plant there, should GM just roll over?

GM is doing what it has to do in order to be competitive worldwide, isn't that the American way?

What damage? Creating 4 and a half million American jobs? Slowing Federal spending to its lowest rate since Eisenhower? Thirty months of positive job growth?

We have a Presidential election in 42 days. If we are not going to have the facts about each candidate, how is anyone supposed to make a rational, informed choice? The kindly folks on the Right seem to think that if we don't know whether the President got an A or a B in a math class in High School we can't trust him to run the nation, but now it's irrelevant to know whether a Presidential candidate violated Federal law by making illegal investments in a country that he now wants to start a war with?

Facts? Where are Barry's records? College, Passport, change of name, citizenship, voting record from the Illinois state legislature, Social Security Admin. application, Selective Service registration, VALID Hawaii b/c and an explanation why Hawaii wouldn't certify him in 2008 until Pelosi sent a bogus OCON?

5 years later and we still have 1,000 unanswered questions about Barry Soetoro's past and many of his claims in his bio have proven to be lies. Where's the lame stream media on all that?

Romney's are all available and have been picked through with a fine tooth comb by the media, IRS, & DOJ long ago.

Fact is, there are PLENTY of people who knew the Romney family and there's PLENTY of verifiable proof that his bio is just as he says it was all the way down to digging through his High School acquaintances.

SHEEEEIIIITT,.... people aren't exactly tripping all over themselves to claim they knew Barry at all. I wonder why? How many articles has the media done on little Barry's Indonesia days, memorizing the Qur'an, his Communist and radical Muzzie mentors or even mentioned that Frank Marshall Davis is his biological Father?

I'll be willing to bet the farm that George Obama in Nigeria doesn't come close to sharing the same DNA as the usurping jackass who's squatting in our WH.

What are the chances Barry would submit to a test? He does have a step brother alive but I seriously doubt he'd submit to that test either.
