Without a strong independent candidate a vote for the independent almost assures a democratic victory. Not cool. Keep it a 2 horse race,. It's too close to call. Romney all the way in November.

"The poll was from Aug. 1 to Aug. 5, among a random national sample of 1,026 adults. The margin of sampling error for the full poll is plus or minus four percentage points."

Random sampling..........on LSM polls usually means a 7 % in Democrats over
Republicans...... skewing the poll to favor 0bama. Can't rely upon those polls
    for accuracy.

The article concludes that "new attention on Romney’s tax returns and an overseas trip that included well publicized gaffes."

Analysis of the LSM's treatment of Romney vs.0bama concludes that Romney's
coverage is negative, like the LSM reporting his trip to Britain, Israel and Poland was 86%
negative. The news that came out even acknowledge Romney's great speech'
in Poland and the father of the birth of democracy and end of the Soviet
Union's hold those 'red countries' Russia has held since the end of WWII, nor did
it say that Lech Walesa endorsed Romney in the strongest of terms. Nor did
it report the warm reception Romney received in Israel or the barrage of 0bama
announcements of his administrations support of Israel he released that w/e
because he was threatened by Romney's warm reception (like a head of state).....
0bama must think the Israel is stoooopid if he thinks they will fall for this sudden
    support of Israel, ...

0bama must think the Israel is stoooopid if he thinks they will fall for this sudden
support of Israel, but then he probably would be OK if Americans bought it,
    especially American Jews.

As for 0bama supporters turning Independent, I recall the PUMAs of 2008. Hillary
had 18million people who voted for her. Some of those 18million became PUMAs
who did not like the way the DNC, DRC and elder party members like
Kennedy, Kerry, Durban, etc. treated Hillary and manipulated the primaries to
make sure their 'golden boy 0bama' would be the Democrat nominee. Some of
the Hillary voters, like me, became Independents then, but I suspect many more of those
PUMAs have now become PUMAs after seeing how arrogant and incompetent 0bama
has been. I knew that he was inexperienced and unqualified back then because
I myself did the research the LSM refused to do. I came to the same conclusion
expressed very well by my avatar. I have never looked back with regret. obama screwed up country

America is in an anxious mood . Neither candidate has hit on a solid message that resonates. In addition, the toxic climate of Congress with its 9 % approval rating casts a dark cloud. Americans are turning their backs on the goverment.

So Obama has not delivered a chicken in every pot for every American. But what is Romney selling? Medicare will become a voucher program, Medicaid will be phased out, retirement age will increase, and restriction on big business will be rolled back. Where in all of that is a carrot for the middle class.... where families headed by those under 35 are 70% poorer than they were in l984. Where ??

Meanwhile Congress is busy naming post offices and wondering if a handful of Olympic stars, many of whom are highly paid professionals ,should get tax free status on cash winnings. Go figure.

I don't think so (although I hope I'm wrong); I imagine they're going apathetic more than independent. REALLY good question, though. Raved & shared.
