Romney's claim that Obama is responsible for the economy isn't reaching the electorate's ears.

flaca BN-0 2012/08/09 02:25:43
Gallup poll this week shows that a majority do not blame the economy on Obama.
Should Romney concentrate on what he's going to do, with specifics, if he wants to change the dynamic which right now does not favor him?

Ya know Flaca...Republicans and many democrats back stabbers... had made this hate tours Obama possible because they bullied Obama WE CAN to WE CANNOT. When Obama is gone I would love to see many Americans to wish he was back, but of course, until they changed their mentality will never happen. Just think if we have let Obama to give us Health care for all, just with that only , do you know how many Americans that are suffering now how much I am paying.. what they don't know... this was a game from the republicans, what Obama signed was REPUBLICANS terms.. How many times and how long it took to get this done. Back in forth... now that REPUBLICANS WON their term.. They blame OBAMA.. WOW… WE CAN, But REP CAN”tor CAN'T…

Romney has no plan. It is always " Details will come later." Most Americans, despite the hyperpartisan reaction to everything, understand that this mess took years to make and will take years to fix. Republicans keep braying the "dog ate my homework" excuse for having done nothing to help the economy and Americans aren't buying .

Willard's only ideas? Profitize and privatize everything, and suck every last dime of public money for himself and the 1 %. His history clearly illustrates he's always been in it for himself, and himself only.

The Republicans have vowed to do nothing of substance until November. Okay, they are naming post offices and deciding if a handful of Olympians should pay taxes on money earned. This might very well be the most effort they have extended so far.

This economy is every politicains fault since Reagan for the most part...

Some Con. was telling me yesterday that the first 10T of our deficit was created over the last 200 years, Then as typical he reminded me that our Country is over 200 years old..
Oh and another thought you won some game by telling me that the SCOTUS approved a voter id law..

I'm just curious what the best responce is to these kind of Assinine opinions..

LOL flaca. For three years you told us it was all Bush's fault.

Based on your comments below, what brought about the change of heart?

I agree wholeheartedly. One wonders why people hold the economy at the feet of presidents, when many of them must have taken economics in college. Unfathomable.

    i do indeed wonder-

especially when it is asserted ...
    by a supposed conservative-

    it is my understanding ...
    that conservatives profess...
to believe in a policy of non intervention by govt-

have not found many cons who live that principle-

People aren't stupid. Its 70 years later and they're still blaming Hoover. 70 years from now they will still be blaming Bush and rightfully so.

I get yr point but Bush wasn't to blame either. Despite all the coverage in 2008 on what caused the meltdown and explanations as to how it adversely affected countries all across the world, and everyone is in the doldrums right now because of it, you'd think people would wake up to the fact that neither Bush nor Obama has any input on it.

It's not true they have no input. They can add to the problem...that's easy.

It's much more difficult to make the gov presence smaller.

do you really think Bush was to blame for the economy collapsing? Do you really think Presidents run the economy? Did you take macroeconomics in college?

The president does not run the economy. Congress holds the purse strings when it comes to the budget. Bush is not responsable for the collapse, neither is Obama. Bush did give his stamp of approval on much of congress's excessive spending which did not help, but the script was written long before then. As far as the Obama recovery, it could have been handled far better by your average CPA. To your last question, I did not waste money on college. I never did like macaroni art, so I probably wouldn't have liked macaroni economics any better.

for those though who say it could have been handled better, nobody has said specifically how. The repubs say they could do it better, but why didn't they say how?
They didn't because they would rather get the top job than help the country. If they came up with a brilliant plan Obama would jump on it. But they didn't, they haven't and they won't. Isn't is odd how not one leader of any country that is now suffering under the global collapse has come up with the answer? Could it be..............there isn't one?

Not adding trillions to the debt would have been a good start, considering the camapign slogan was to cut the deficit in half. There have been much better plans offered. Obama did not "jump" on them because he did not agree with them, not because they would not have worked. And as far as Obama "suffering", that's laughable.
