Romney has gone and done it again. The Republican presidential candidate called 47 percent of Americans "victims" for supporting President Obama in a recent video of him talking at a private fundraiser.

Romney thinks Obama supporters are living off of state handouts, and he is probably right for about 10-15 percent of them... but it's that other 85-90 percent of Democrats that go to work and participate in the economy that he should be trying to get to vote for him! Insulting potential voters is most likely not the wisest strategy, and you know Obama will be all over this in the debates. Remember Regan Democrats? That's what he needs to win. Good luck with this one, Mittens.

Mitt Romney stood by his comments captured on a hidden camera at a closed-door fundraiser earlier this year in which he called supporters of President Barack Obama "victims" and said they are reliant on government handouts. In a hastily arranged news conference Monday night, he called his words "off the cuff" and "not elegantly stated."

The vast majority of people that take government assistance should be earning their own way instead of taking the earnings of others.

In that 47% that Willard insulted are seniors, Vets, and poor hard working people. Now yes it's true that there are some folks skating on the backs of our tax dollars, and those people are not just black like most of you folks want to think, there's white people cheating the government too. I'm a Commercial Plumber "Master" 30 yrs. experience, and I'll take advantage of any loop hole I could find in the system. I do everything possible to keep from paying alot of taxes. I own my own home, I own my car, truck and I'm almost done paying off my boat. I hate paying taxes, but I pay them every year. I don't care if it is a democrat or republican government, if I can find a loop hole that won't get me in trouble, I'm taking it. And I'm voting for President Obama again.

They are the illegal immigrants who come here get welfare, wic, food stamps, medicare and destroy our economy and jobs while SUCKING social benefits dollars out of the coffers. And they are the systemic USERS of the system-like obamas auntie who came here on a tourist visa, over stayed, ignored deportation orders and got a 100% disability and a free apartment.

I agree, but what percentage is that? it's not 47% like Willard is saying. In my opinion, Willard is a descent person, I like him, I have no reason to not like him personally, like so many conservatives hate Obama personally. I think if Willard was to be his self Instead of trying to be a hard right conservative, I think he would be in better shape than he is today.These tea party folks and hard right wingers are causing Willard to fall way behind. After that 47% remark, with little time left, he might be through.

I dont see anything wrong with what he said...millions of people think the same thing...that there are people out there that think they are a victim of life...and that they are deserving of resources supplied by the government for free....there are people that these resources are meant to help...but those people rarely get the full benefits that are meant for them.....they are having to compete with what I refer to as professional benefit leaches...this is their only JOB...to find the best way to take advantage of the benefits that are meant for the truly needy....benefits are being sucked dry by these people...teens popping out babies instead of getting a real education and working for a living...they get housing and food stamp medical and welfare ...also the illegals that come here and one or two of them in a household may hold down jobs...while the others have babies sell drugs and take advantage of government benefits that their american born children are entitled to due to the fact that their parents accept cash only for the work they do dont report their earnings since they are breaking the law by being here in the first place...top that off with all the criminals that are in prison ( it cost the tax payer a small fortune to house and feed this scum too...and they have f...

We should try to use proper terms, and not allow the deceptions of the Left, to continue. It's not "public schools," it's "government monopoly schools." Public schools are where parents get together and hire a teacher(s), which is not an accurate description of the corrupted system we have today. It's not "health care." What does it have so much to do with health, and "care" would not be so unaffordable. It's "medical care," or actually, more accurately, "medical treatment," as probably it's past-time to throw out the word "care" that is so much misused in so many stupid Big Pharma ads.

Why do they use the letter O in the middle of phone numbers? The "O" is on the 6 button. If they meant 6, why didn't they just say 6? O is a letter. 0 is a number. Especially, considering that they are supposed to look different in this font?

And 24-hour time, or "military time," should not use 1700 hundred hours. That's ridiculous. What does the "100" refer to? There's only but 60 minutes in an hour. So why isn't it simply 17 o'clock, or simply 17:00 like the digital clock already says? Don't people think about whether what they say, actually makes any logical sense?

What he said, as he admitted, was not said "eloquently"...however he was talking to supporters at a fundraiser, so he didn't break it down. When you have 1/2 the country not paying income taxes....not sales tax, not their contribution to medicare & ss, but income taxes, there is a real problem. You have a large population that pay NOTHING in income taxes and get a "refund" of thousands. When you look at the "real" numbers and see how that there is a minority in this country that is footing the bill for the federal government, paying the refunds for those that pay nothing and financing the entitlement programs, it's has to change. The number of those paying in continues to decline, those that are on federal assistance programs continues to increase and our debt if outta this world!! Lots of people don't believe that they want a "handout" and get offended at the term, but when they get a refund at the end of the year for more than they paid in...guess what - they just got a handout. Free money. And for what? Breathing? We cannot sustain this "government lifestyle". The American people have got to grow up and give up their governement allowances for their children's sake. Our kids are going to hate this generation for our horrible decisions.

he is not factually correct either. of those 47% approx 60%, they do not make enough money to tax in the first place. next off most of those senoirs are his voters in the first place
so why insult your own voters. next off of the rest most are middle class whites that pay no income taxes because of deductions that are favorable to both parties. again these are his voters at least in the small majority. the reason the y pay no income tax is because of the child tax credit and earned interest mortgage deduction. also a small minority of these people are thats right wait for it, MILLIONAIRS. yes the wealthy, they pay no income taxes because of all the write offs that they get. again his voters, does any one see a pattern here.

You are correct; no one should be forced to be responsible for anyone else. The irony is that the rich have a lot more lobbyist working for them in congress than the poor. They literally spend millions to get the deck stacked in their favor. Then, when the inevitable spread between the rich and the poor happens, they want to take the money and run. Fun thing is, most the rich could not have been as successful if they were not able to do what they did in the US. Therefore they owe something back to the system. In fact I think there should be a cap on income. Say 100 million per year. Everything over that should be taxed at 100%. I would bet that those making more than 100 million would suddenly reinvest the excess back into their business, or into a new business. That would then strengthen America even more.

truth be told i jaw dropped to the floor in reading what you wrote. the poor have no money period, how do you tax people that have no money and continue to give tax breaks to the wealthy that have millions. read american history inregards to the government helping people. if they do not than who will. some people need a helping hand to get back on there feet, we are not talking generations needing assiatance, yes that happens and it is wrong however that is far fewer than what americans believe. truth be told taxes on the
wealthy should go up, to clinton percentage which was 33%. they were still wealthy back then, that would pay down the debt 4 trillion over the next decade. everyone is in favor
of debt reduction as long as it does not hurt them.
