Romney: "The First Victim Of An Obama Campaign Is The Truth": Do You Trust President Obama?

The 2012 election season has shifted from primary politics to the general election. Summer has nearly ended and the Olympics finished. The media will now set their sites on the candidates. General elections generally sours the public as they suffer the endless cycles of attack ads.

Politicians and their campaign managers know that negative ads work. Nobody took President Clinton seriously when he promised to end the politics of personal destruction -- then began destroying the reputation of special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, victim Paula Jones and witnesses Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky.

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney accused President Obama of sacrificing the truth for a political victory in 2012. Romney said, "It seems that the first victim of an Obama campaign is the truth. It has been sad and disappointing." Romney said this in response to the attack ads against him claiming that Romney would raise taxes. Romney finished with, "We're going to get this economy going, and Mr. President stop saying something that's not the truth."

REALCLEARPOLITICS.COM reports:
Question: Thank you, Governor. When my son's boss asked why he wanted the day off, he said I get a chance to see Romney and Ryan. He said, 'You mean that guy that wants to raise taxes.' So what are you going to do to combat the lies that the leftists are telling about you?

Romney: Thank you. It seems that the first victim of an Obama campaign is the truth. It has been sad and disappointing. Frankly, you know, when I became the presumptive nominee, the president called me and congratulated me on becoming the presumptive nominee, and said that America deserves an honest debate about the future course of the country, and I agreed.

I'm waiting to hear him begin that, because all we've heard so far is one attack after the other. And frankly they're typically not honest. There may be one in there that is. I keep looking for it, but it's been a disappointment.

Another reason NOT to support Romney. He's the classic republican who think he can push and bully and when someone refuses to be bullied and pushed around and fight back he whines and cries like a schoolyard sissy and run to go tell. Either man-up or shut up!

bullied pushed fight whines cries schoolyard sissy run man-up shut

    P.S.

Mitt Romney is far from a beacon of truth....

    Don't Ask Don't Tell... REPEALED!

    Osama Bin Laden... DEAD!

    American Automobile Industry.... ALIVE!

    Healthcare Reform.... DONE!

Increased Funding For The Violence Against Women Act.... DONE!

Created Over 4 Million Jobs Against Sworn Republican Obstruction... DONE!

Eliminated subsidies to private lender middlemen of student loans and protect student borrowers.... DONE!

Significantly expanded Pell grants, which help low-income students pay for college... DONE!

This is just a very short list that could go on. But Romney have no code and no core, who does like such a person especially for the nation's (and frankly the world's) highest office? No one. Many conservatives don't like Romney because of this. You know as well as I do, Romney will get much more of the "hate Obama" vote than he will the "love Romney" vote.

I'm not lying. Look up Obama's lies and compare it to Romney's. Romney has lied a lot for sure, but Obama has lied even more.

He promised not to have an individual mandate in his "health care" and what he did do? He added an individual mandate.

    http://www.politifact.com/per...

He said the U.S. government spends less on energy innovation "than the pet food industry invests in its own products." LIE

Health reform will "give every American the same opportunity" to buy health insurance the way members of Congress do. LIE

    Preventive care "saves money." LIE

Health insurance companies are "making record profits, right now." LIE

Says Mitt Romney would deny gay people the right to adopt children. LIE

Oh, and GM is losing sales and now making crappy products. So much for saving the auto industry.

I have already, and everything you just posted are lies. Whether you know it or not, "Politifact" no longer have a shred of credibility. They've been caught being un-factual too many times.

The very first one on the list in your link is a LIE!

As for Romney's lies, you either don't know what you're talking about or you're as big of a liar as he is. (I'd say both)

And the last thing you said is a LIE! It's really pathetic that your hatred of one man would lead to you wanting this entire nation to falter just so he can't claim a political or economic success. Very sad indeed.

No, you didn't or else you would see Obama has lied more than Romney.

Poltifact has never been caught in a lie and they told the truth. Yeah that link you posted is the article and I doubt they would prove themselves wrong.

Yeah, I meant the US sales are going down. About 75% sales are in foreign countries.

It's pathetic that you are so uninformed on what Obama has done. Very sad indeed.

I'm not a liar. Obama's nothing is but lies too. The "economy is doing fine" lie, the "I will not add a individual mandate" lie, the "Romney won't allow gays to adopt children" lie. Just pick one, dude. Face it, Obama is a liar too. It's his nature to lie.

Obama has lied more than Romney. Romney lied more? NO F*CKING WAY! Why do think half the country hates him? Because he has many failures and constantly lies about them. Obama doesn't care. A president is supposed to meet with congress to discuss budgets and things like that but if you bothered to look it up Obama has a lack of interest in doing so. He's been to busy playing golf and having more fundraisers than any president in history. Of course people like yourself the 'Obamazombies" who've loved him and are blind to his lies and failures will always be uninformed.

Whether you agree or not, I have said the truth.

wow, I'm totally anti Obama, but do you listen to yourself. Somehow I believe you are going to vote for Romney as the lesser of 2 evils. lets change lies into murders
The hypothetical: Obama murdered 30,000 and Romney murdered 20,000. I think I'd better vote for Romney.

Somehow I think a country that votes for one person because he is not as bad as the other is just setting themselves up to be destroyed by such a system.

I'm not voting for Romney. But still I want him to win. He definitely isn't good but Obama is much worse and Ron Paul is far behind so voting for him would be a vote for Obama. Normally, I am all for voting on who you like(which is Ron Paul in my case), but like I said a vote Ron is a vote for Obama and I do want that sorry excuse for a president re-elected. Ron Paul is technically out of the race so unfortunately it has to be either the lesser evil or the larger evil.
  • Adam ray 2012/08/22 01:31:01
    Adam
I don't fall for such platitudes. A vote for Ron Paul is not a vote for Obama no matter how much the Republican Party wants to say it is. I'm not for Ron Paul, but if you feel that Both Obama, and Romney are so bad that neither should be president and you like Ron Paul then you should vote for Ron Paul. Don't let others force you into compromising your values. This is how we ended up with the country we are in today.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama . I like Ron Paul but I hate Obama more for what he has done. If Ron Paul has a chance of winning or Obama would drop out or whatever reason then I would vote for him. Normally, I vote by my principles, but I really don't want that sorry excuse for a president re-elected.

Actually, the main reason I don't for Ron is...well, I don't really want to tell you what it is.

Oh, and Proggy, the reason I blocked you was because you were going to call me that. There is no point in arguing with someone that is going to constantly insult you.
