The 2012 election season has shifted from primary politics to the general election. Summer has nearly ended and the Olympics finished. The media will now set their sites on the candidates. General elections generally sours the public as they suffer the endless cycles of attack ads.

Politicians and their campaign managers know that negative ads work. Nobody took President Clinton seriously when he promised to end the politics of personal destruction -- then began destroying the reputation of special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, victim Paula Jones and witnesses Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky.

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney accused President Obama of sacrificing the truth for a political victory in 2012. Romney said, "It seems that the first victim of an Obama campaign is the truth. It has been sad and disappointing." Romney said this in response to the attack ads against him claiming that Romney would raise taxes. Romney finished with, "We're going to get this economy going, and Mr. President stop saying something that's not the truth."

REALCLEARPOLITICS.COM reports:
Question: Thank you, Governor. When my son's boss asked why he wanted the day off, he said I get a chance to see Romney and Ryan. He said, 'You mean that guy that wants to raise taxes.' So what are you going to do to combat the lies that the leftists are telling about you?

Romney: Thank you. It seems that the first victim of an Obama campaign is the truth. It has been sad and disappointing. Frankly, you know, when I became the presumptive nominee, the president called me and congratulated me on becoming the presumptive nominee, and said that America deserves an honest debate about the future course of the country, and I agreed.

I'm waiting to hear him begin that, because all we've heard so far is one attack after the other. And frankly they're typically not honest. There may be one in there that is. I keep looking for it, but it's been a disappointment.

Gute vid. How can people reject that he is a Muslim, when his church had many Black Panther Muslims, his father was a Muslim, his Stepfather was a Muslim, he's only had 4 Christian functions at The White House, and those were National Prayer Day breakfasts, something he barely made an appearance at & only b/c he have to! Then he have 18 Muslim get together's with some that have attended that have since become radical! Then Obama's own words: " If the political winds should change; I shall go with the Muslims." When is Amerika & the world going to wake up & see that every country they are colonizing, there is a sharp uptick in violence when they become 3% & upwards of the population?? Every single conflict in the world is b/c of Muslim s. The only 21st century COLONIZERS are Muslims. They are trying to infect every country, and Obama has helped them jump in the USA a full 1.5 % since he took office. Time for deportien! They are using our Freedom of Religion AGAINST us! And we are just SITTING here, not saying a THING to the politicians, not DEMANDING it stop! People, we need to STAND UP for our ideals! They are now CRUCIFYING people in EGYPT!! And the world turns away! Mosque building has increased 61% in the USA since 9/11!!

How do you attack a president who prevented a Great Depression? A president who saved the auto industry and passed student loan, credit card and health care reform while securing trillions in deficit cuts? How do you bring down a president who oversaw the capture of Osama bin Laden and the destruction of most of the leadership of al Qaeda? A president who ended one war and convinced the nation to responsibly end another?

If you’re a former John McCain adviser with a huge crush on Paul Ryan, you simply make up a different president to attack.

I don't support McCain and never did. With that being said, McCain may be a RINO but at least he loves America and would have done a better job for the United States than America-hating Obama. I don't have a crush on Paul Ryan either but he'd still be a better VP than Biden or a better President than Obama bin Golfin'.
