The Obama Administration tipped their hand early on in regards to this issue, and dropped a concert grand piano sized whopper on it with fast and furious. The NRA is not going all out campaigning against Obama without reason.

Obama pushed through the Global Poverty Act in 2008/09 and it contained a clause that allowed the UN to have some authority over our 2nd Amendment rights.. as well as assuring the UN that they would be paying a % of our GDP every year (in the millions of dollars) to the UN to give to other nations.. (communism) ..sharing the wealth..

Obama is more conservative than I am in this area. However, it seems that there are some on the right who are further right than Obama and are trying to scare people into thinking Obama is going to restrict gun ownership. He will try to keep certain guns away from private citizens, but all in all, people will still be able to own guns.

(Nevermind. I DID MY RESEARCH and it's a talking points mailer that was sent out by the NRA. Sorry, but just because they say it does not make it so. That is like trying to use an original document to try and prove itself. Stupid.)

The way i read this, is he wanted to limit the sale of assault rifles, record the sale of firearms to enable law enforcement to track recovered firearms to their origins, or something like that. In such, control is good, enforced removal is not democratic.
