Romney in the Tank for Big Oil

Mopeder 2012/08/22 00:11:33
With Mitt Romney attending a fundraiser at the members only Petroleum Club tonight in Midland, TX, he's proving once and for all he's in the tank for Big Oil. Mitt Romney wants to repeal laws that crack down on oil speculators who drive up gas prices at your local pump and would cut investments in clean and renewable energy sources to pay for massive tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. As Mitt Romney famously said, he believes "corporations are people," which means that Big Oil are some of his closest friends.

But once we have our first black President, you guys fall on the ground worshiping the fool as if he can do no wrong when Obama can't do anything right.

You're too damn blind to examine his rightwing voting record to realize he's never been leftwing... he's a frikkin Neocon Democrat explaining why for all his talk, Obama never opposed Bush during Bush's second term and why Obama has done everything from his secret deals with Big Pharma and Big Oil to leading the fight to preserve the three worst provisions of the Patriot Act he swore to remove even if he could not support removing the entire Patriot Act after he got to Washington DC.

He's not even a Centrist like you guys try to claim. To be a Centrist Democrat means you must officially join. Obama did at one time belong to the Centrist Democrats but in 2003 wrote to them demanding they remove his name as he never was nor was he then a Centrist Democrat and he didn't know how his name got on their lists.

Obama did not pull us out of Iraq... he simply did not get in the way of the arrangements Bush made for the pullout and what dates the pullouts would take place.

Neither did he bail out the auto industry because Bush again bailed out the auto industry and the banks with his 2008 Economic Stabilization Act... while Republicans wrongly attacked Obama for bailing out the auto industry, that does not take away from the fact that it was Bush who bailed out the banks and the auto industry in the same legislation.

The only auto industry Obama backed was the electric car plant in Indianapolis that recently closed down costing American taxpayers billions in losses just as his investments in solar and wind turbine industries all went bust costing us billions more.

It is a frikkin joke to say that Romneys going to hurt us when what he did is exactly what we would expect a Republican to do... but what Obama did was sell out everyone who backed him by making secret deals and investing in failed technologies that should have been developed before the 20th century in the case of electric cars and wind power and by the 1950's for solar energy... the problem isn't that they can't compete as there's no way the powerful electric companies could have stopped solar energy companies from developing top notch solar energy emergency backup solar energy generators to further develop these technologies until expanding them to provide 100% of many Americans energy needs. The truth is these companies refuse to invest in research and development out of sheer stupidity thinking like Socialists that they'll lobby the government to get the government force us all to change.

I myself will not be voting for Romney anymore than Obama... but if you guys don't start using your brains for something better than seat cushions, you are going to guarantee Romney will be the next President much as your rhetoric is causing Obama's support to drop out from under him because you are doing the same ignorant things you did in the 2010 elections that got so many Democrats removed from office that you almost gave Republicans full control... and at the rate many of you are going, you're going to make it happen in 2012.

Stop kissing Obama's ass and start slapping him across the face with a cold dose of reality that he has to earn your votes and you're not just gonna vote for him because he represents one of your victims groups... view him as a man first, then review his voting record and if you must view him because of his skin color, then at least look at the fact there are hundreds of black leaders out there who sincerely support what you believe... but Barack Obama clearly does not!

ABSOLUTELY! That's the reason he has all the big fat donors like the Koch Brothers on his side. I hope people don't think that these donations are just about politics! Mitt Romney is selling out the Country and the people to these fat donors!

Mitt Romney and Republicans are bragging about how much money they raise over President Obama, but I won't jealous their golden chest! My mother always used to tell us when we were little not to jealous anybody for what they have because you don't know what they have to do to get it! And this exactly what happening now with Mitt Romney, the golden chest he is accumulating has demons behind it!

What works, you say? Check the prices at the next dozen gas stations you pass. And ask yourself why oil companies that post record profits "need" multi-billion dollar tax subsidies every year. Oh, and since I live a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico, let me tell you that "what works" blew up 11 people not so long ago as the greedy bastards in pursuit of another oily buck flouted safety procedures and caused billions of dollars in damage besides those unnecessary deaths. Yeah, that works.

How many Americans live a very good life because of oil? Those families know the risk thats why they made the money they did. Compare the solyndra familes to the oil companies families and see who is smiling. The only green workers that are happy are the ceos who were in Obamas back pockets. Greed? How many pension are depending on the oil industry? How many schools are funded with taxes from oil? The device you are using to spread lies with was made from petroleum products. If the USA spends only a fraction of what it spends on the military on developing clean renewable energy it would be a big win.

Cheap oil is gone folks, and soon the rest of it will be gone too. Biofuels? Not workable, as has been seen and NOT a solution owing to the fact that you're still cranking crud into the air.
Now, before you all start calling me a 'Greener' or whatever...let me say my bit, then you can attack me.
The big issue is vehicles, and powering them.
    Lets be honest here.
Husband is working on refitting his Intrepid for electric power after he finishes testing out the 'prototype' he and his friends are working on.
Why? He drives a LOT for business, and the fuel cost is pretty steep, even though he keeps the car in mint condition, or as close as possible, and uses all kinds of efficiency-boosting things like K&N air filters, etc..
He also likes performance. 200Hp Internal Combustion vs. 200 Hp Electric--in a race, the electric has faster acceleration and quicker throttle response. Other vehicles have proven this as a matter of record, and check out a Tesla Roadster sometime.
The battery packs are to be housed where the gas tank usually is, and a housing made in look-alike to the fuel tank houses 20 Kw of battery storage.

Range...he drives a lot, right? So this is Numero Uno.
Ducts in the nose channel high-velocity air into 2 5 Kw wind turbines with a very high-efficiency rotor/impeller, and the air then flows out through a passage'ducting slightly greater in diameter to create a low-pressure system behind the generator.
The damn thing charges as you drive, the battery pack is 'split' so that bank A is charging while Bank B is in-use, over-and-over.
Performance, actually enhanced as there's no longer a changing state of weight-balance with a changing fuel-remaining capacity. Top-end has yet to be measured at a track with dual radar guns, but 'unofficial' tests show it'll hit 140 KpH very easily and quickly.
Range, limited really only by driver endurance.
Elimination of many maintenance costs associated with Internal Combustion, as well as fuel costs.
The airconditioning is driven by a standalone electric motor for the AC and the heater is driven by three in-line block-heaters, and those work a LOT better than the way heaters usually work of a fuel-burning engine's cooling system, and come up to full temp much quicker. He tested the heater module system last winter, statically in the coldest days of the year...more than enough to keep the inside of a car comfy!!
because of the motor drive AC, there's no 'shudder' that makes you think the engine's going to stall when it kicks in...something I always hated about car AC systems.

How easily would a car maker be able to do this with all their resources and such???

So, the future of oil is....??
    Obsolesence.

Whether the oil stays here or not makes no difference. The fiasco on permits in the Gulf caused loss of 40,000 jobs. If the oil leaves we get money into here on balance of payments plus the government gets a piece of the action for the treasury as we need money bad.
