Mitt Romney slammed President Obama over a disappointing August jobs report in a statement Friday, declaring that "if last night was the party, this morning is the hangover."

"For every net new job created, nearly four Americans gave up looking for work entirely. This is more of the same for middle class families who are suffering through the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression," Romney continued. "After 43 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent, it is clear that President Obama just hasn't lived up to his promises and his policies haven't worked. We aren’t better off than they were four years ago."

The 368,000 new citizens not even trying to find work is the scariest part of this.

In spite of claiming to be in favour of people who work, the Obama Administration has created an enviroment favouring those who hire. The markett is saturated with unemployed and business has it's choice.

Small wonder those over 45 are the most often screwed as business' under threat of Obamacare regulation and taxes choose the young who not only will need less healthcare and other benefits, but can be had for lower pay as well.

I don't know much about politics, but I'm pretty sure it's going to take a lot to fix the economy.

The National Realtors Report shows existing home sales up by 10.4% from same time last year and new home sales are up by 9.4%. This is big. It means more first time home buyers and fewer foreclosures. Every time a home is sold, it's money for the realtor, the appraisers, and the movers. Everytime a new home is built, it's work for roofers, carpenters, and sheetrockers. New homes sales are up 25% over last year.

The housing market has been a huge drain on the economy, but now that drain is being plugged.

I'm surprised how ANOTHER MONTH OF JOBS CREATED is a shortfall to anyone. I also am shocked that unemployment (both u6 and u3 numbers) is down and Romney still wants to complain.

He's full of hot air. What he neglects to mention is that 4 years ago, the economy was in a landslide. It was at 7.8 percent when Obama took office and then he lost 4.3 million jobs in his first 13 months as president. Somehow, we've recovered quite well, and still have to make up for jobs that were lost before Obama even took office.

But, Romney can't see all that; he just does as he's told and says what he's told to.

Here are a few highlights from this morning’s jobs report. Remember that the President knew these numbers last night before he gave his acceptance speech. What could convince a sane voter that this administration has a clue how to govern this country? This man is in over his head. He has never run a business or met a payroll. We desperately need a stellar businessman in the executive branch that has the training and experience to turn this around. President Obama should take the high road, be honest, admit he has failed the American people and resign his office.

Nonfarm payrolls increased only 96,000 last month, the Labor Department said on Friday. Economists polled by Reuters had expected payrolls to rise 125,000 last month.

June and July data was revised to show 41,000 fewer jobs created than previously reported.

A total of 368,000 people gave up looking for work in August.

The unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent in July, which was because so many Americans gave up the hunt for work.

Government payrolls declined 7,000, falling for a sixth straight month.

The jobless rate has held above 8 percent for 43 straight months -- the longest stretch since the Great Depression.

The labor force participation rate or the percentage of Americans who either have a job or are looking for one, fell to 63.5 percent -- the lowest since September 1981.

Our national debt has surpassed $16 trillion

You hit it out of the park here Dwight........but this is what Obama meant by redistribution of wealth. The goal of Obama and his Marxist theology is to make everything equal and fair. His intentions are not to elevate people to a higher standard of living but to equalize everyone's standard of living. This means that someone has to give up something they worked for to give to someone who didnt...but it's equal and fair. The whole premise revolves around the government determining what fair is which has absolutely nothing to do with merit or achievement. Obama believes that if everyone has the same then there is no jealousy and therefore crime comes down. Obama had to let 2 million illegals have work visa's knowing good and well they will work for less because he is going to subsidize them which in turn will force others to work for less and accept the government subsidy. It all revolves around Obama's desire to be a dictator and eventually be the leader of the council of the New World Order.

I know I didnt do a good job of explaining myself but if people will take the time to read Agenda 21 and Social Engineering and then compare Obama's actions they will wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. Here's an old song that applies to Obama and his plans.

Both the Dems and the Repubs have screwed us ... vote either one and they will continue to do so because you are sending the message that you like it and how far you will bend over for them.

On the same idea of the old thought that when a women says no ... she really means yes. That is the message you are sending ... so tell me are you prepared to be raped again?
