Mitt Romney Television Ad

BOSTON -- Mitt Romney is attacking President Barack Obama in a new television ad that seizes on the president's suggestion that government helps create businesses.

The Republican presidential candidate's new ad, entitled "These Hands," features Obama's remarks from a Virginia campaign stop last week. It shows a business owner who says he and his father used hard work to build their company.

Obama told supporters last week that "somebody else" helped create their businesses. The remark came as Obama discussed the supportive role of government in the nation's economic success.

    I heard the original statement. Obama said the business owner didn;t build roads. The gist of what was said was that no one is an island. When we build something we stand on the shoulders of others. If you don't hear the previous sentence you don't know what was said. As usual Romney is lying.

    Flip flopping Willard is so stupid , he said the same thing Obama had said. Willard tried to text the message out of context, and fox new editing the speech, but America understands just what President Obama was saying. And so did Willard.

    its time for President Romney to start running adds ...he is only even with Obama so far in the polls (with Obama running unopposed with unlimited tax payers funds so far that is ) lets see how the polls and the election pan out if this starts to be less of a one sided fight - LOL

    I don't recall the government helping me out when four customers went bankrupt and left us hanging in 2009 and 2010. I downsized 55%, moved to a smaller facility, sold off idle assets, went off the payroll for a year, sold my sailboat and tapped 1/3 of my retirement savings to keep my doors open and make payroll each week. And I dug out fourth quarter of last year and the company is back in the black today. I had planned to retire in 2010.

    Never once saw anyone from the government at any level show up to help build my business back.

    Semper Fi, I thought Republicans didn't believe in government bail-outs. If four of your customers went bankrupt in 2009, that happened at the end of President Bush's term. Everything was falling apart in 2009. Two wars unpaid, and put on a credit card, people losing their homes, jobs, and Wall Street stealing us blind. I'm glad you turned your situation around, but I don't think you can blame the President for what happened. He had just come into office. Fortunately you had saved for a rainy day and were able to move into a smaller place, and start over. You should be proud of the decisions you made, which saved your business; but I think you can give some credit for your success, to the advantages of living in a free country.

    "government" didn't show up at your business to bail you out??? you certainly aren't holding obama solely responsible for your business going bust are you? that would be really narrow minded of you. the whole world is in a financial pickle because BIG business is greedy - why do you think there are so many investigations into large business practices? they screwed everyone and we all have had to pay the price!
