Yesterday Mitt Romney said of President Obama, "...he wants another stimulus, he wants to hire more government workers. He says we need more fireman, more policeman, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people."

Remember Obama has the Unions backing him .... it is the UNIONS WITH THEIR COLLECTIVE BARGINING POWER that they are bitching the most about.
Obviously Obama has no idea just WHO the government is....IT IS THE PEOPLE...

All this is is a scare tactic that didn't work in Wisconsin and the Unions feel they can SCARE the people into submission....I don't think they can any more....
Obama and the Unions think they have the people by the short hairs.....well as long as this Republican, former Democrat, is drawing a breath of air I will tell it like it is, you can do what you want to change my mind but it will never happen.....not any more.

on the one hand we put halos on our teachers, our police and firefighters.
and then we decimate them.
words are cheap. actually supporting them - - making sure there are enough of them, making sure they have the resources needed to do their jobs - - costs money.
how quickly we forget.
people came out in support of the firefighters after 9/11. they lined up on the streets paying homage to them as they trekked back and forth to Ground Zero day in and day out looking for survivors, then looking for bodies, then cleaning up the carnage.
and when those same people developed Black Lung, we didn't want to know. they were on their own.
and now Romney wants to take it to the next logical level.
in one breath he says, "Where are the jobs, Mr. President?" in the next he says, "Fire the bums!" when talking about our public workers.
psssssssssst! Teaching, fire fighting and policing are - - wait for it - - JOBS.
THAT is the proper responsibility of State and local governments.

and, since the Feds don't hire police, firemen and teachers, why is Romney weighing in on it? might it be because he could send HIS kids to private schools, live in neighborhoods that are safe [though how long that situation would last without law enforcement is anyone's guess] and - - - hmmmmmmmm - - - I can't make a case for why a rich person wouldn't want his house protected against fire so I have to figure that last one is just pandering and demonizing.
It is incumbent on States to generate their OWN revenues to hire police, teacherrs , firemen, sanitation workers, etc.

Then it dawned on me - hire these idiots and pay them $8.00 an hour instead of livable wages with benefits.
No one is saying that we need to do WITHOUT these social services, only that adding more of them right now will only add to the deficit of the States and eventually to the Federal debt since States are subsidized by Federal Grants and loans, etc. Wow, why don't we grow up for a while, and be more mature than our shoe size for a change?

The entire blame is NOT on teachers alone, many students and parents are to blame as well. These things need to be worked out by smarter minds than mine, I agree. But getting rid of some teachers who show up for work just because they have tenure and still want to draw their pay, is a good start.
Obama won't hire firemen or policemen, he'll hire more paper-pushing bureaucrats, paid with tax money, who don't produce a damn thing and only serve to swell government so big nobody will be able to get anything done.
And I'll give you the same response the Demoncracks give me (when I cite Clinton's record, I'm told that he is not on the ticket) so,,,,,,,, Bush isn't on the ticket either, so his record doesn't matter. Obama CANNOT run on his own record, so he has to hack on his opponents. Even his predecessor, who hasn't been in office for 3 1/2 years, hasn't signed a single bill into law, but gets all the blame for Obama's weak economy that he promised to fix in his first term, knowing what he was getting in to. If that's NOT a 'crybaby', what is????

That's like me saying, "I loaded 17,000 MORE cases of soda pop on the truck" .......... I just conveniently forgot to mention that just before that, the trailer turned over and I dropped 22,000 cases on the highway, for a net LOSS of 5,000 cases. So, Fuzzy the figures all you want, Americans are not as stupid as Obama says we are.

Yes he inherited a hell of a mess, and wishful thinking didnt take into account the enormity of the clusterf*** OR the cost of the two wars which he (Bush)didnt put on the budget. 8 million jobs hadnt been lost when he made that statement, and ANYONE who believes that a recession and job loss of that amount could be reversed AND improved upon in the space of four years, is delusional and too dumb to debate with. He said it would be tough and he said it would take time, so please get your head out of that nice warm comfy darkness and be factual instead of paranoid

Obama DIDN'T inherit Bush, he ran on taking over what Bush had screwed up. You can't be telling people you are blind just because you are wearing sunglasses. You can't take over the presidency with eyes wide open, then claim that you didn't see anything before you were elected, especially since your meager little platform was to FIX Bush's mess.
If Obama can't solve the problems that he knew about 3 1/2 years ago when he claimed that he could solve them, it's not his predecessor's fault, IT'S HIS FAULT. And America knows it. Obama may as well blame it on Putin as much as on Bush. They're each as responsible as the other if you blame one, because neither of them were president of the US during Obama's LAST term.
