Romney Criticizes Obama's Spending: Who do you agree with?

Roger June 02, 2009 19:03:32

Mitt Romney has been criticizing President Obama on his lack of spending on national security. Romney thinks that Obama's increased spending on expanding social programs is taking a big toll on our national security. Romney was quoted as saying Obama made a "grave miscalculation" as to budget cuts for missile defense. Without money to protect the country from nuclear threats, Romney feels we're going to be doomed by Obama.
Romney is right. Obama needs to spend more on national security.

He told people before he was elected he would undermine our defenses ..although I am paraphrasing.....he did not say it just that way. It was just one of many reasons I could never vote for such a man.

I fully agree. This is especially true at our borders. It seems that the Feds doing what their actual job under the Constitution seems to escape them. Instead they believe their job is social engineering, redistribution of wealth and, taxing us for supposed Global Warming or the new catch phrase to cover everything Climate Change.

How many times have we heard and thought that the US does not take care of it's own? National security is important, but it isn't like the budget cuts have gone down to zero and we are now defenseless, give me a break! Historically, while countries in Europe, for example, have taxes that benefit it's citizens- benefits that most American workers can only dream of, (time off work - for family and or illness, are two........) while taxes here don't benefit citizens anywhere near as well, but instead go to things like....... oh, right! -national defense!- and meanwhile Americans suffer much more than their European counterparts trying to make ends meet-............... and then also in the meantime, conservatives- who usually make up the upper crust of American citizens, who in no way can relate- (nor do they even give a s***) cry foul! Romney needs to hush up and rethink the issue before ramming the same old sing song down the President's neck.

Romney is wrong. Spending on national security is adequate.
Romney is not even sincere; he's trying to score points with the Republican base now because he intends to be a candidate in 2012.

Mitt Romney is a highly-educated individual, who is a brilliant businessman as well. BHO can't hold a candle to him and we'd all be better off if he'd won the Republican nomination rather than McCain. Oh well that's the way the cookie crumbles...can't whine now, but just gotta get through it...if we don't get "nuked" before that by North Korea or from WWIII starting because he's dissing Israel. Hopefully, Mitt will get elected in 2012...just in time to dig us outta this mess. God willing.

According to Gates, some of the current program was wasteful or unrealistic. If that's the case then, it seems expanding some social programs during these tough times might be the correct thing to do and it's not as if the whole program went away.

...and Obama needs to give less tax payer $ to people who got him elected, attempting to insure his own power base with Acorn, etc., lies, intimidation, you know; things power hungry street thugs do.Oh wait! Do you think there is a correlation between Obama and being a street thug? Wait....William Ayers, Reverand Wrong, terrorist affiliation from his college days, crooks in the cabinet, Chicago politics, lies about his citizenship?

    Na...didn't think so...crazy me.

Mr. Obama has hired an administration of liberal idiots and a left wing financal arm. Does anyone wonder how Mr. Obama paid for his Ivy League education? He won't address --- makes you wonder.

He is more interested in prostituting free Americans by claiming it is all our fault. Here is an example---he went on record and scolded the American Citizen for are SUV's, high energy useage, and critized us for being wasteful and spoiled. I would accept this if Mr. Obama had the guts to call out the fat spending and excessive useage of American Tax Dollars by the Congress and the Senate. This applies to both parties-------This is not single party issue. Both parties area poor examples of morality and politics.

Where is your leadership Mr. Obama? Get smart and hire Mitt Romney to manage the business aspect of the Governement. You can't and neither can the idiots you hired.

I think mobama needs to stop spending. All that stimulas money their going to or have already spent and now federal gov wants to raise taxes on gas and diesel to cover the loss of fuel tax money. How much is enough!
