Romney assails Obama on national security

- Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney harshly criticized President Obama's national security strategy yesterday, chastising him for spending billions of dollars to expand social programs at the expense of the military budget, and accusing him of an overseas "tour of apology" that will only embolden violent anti-American extremists.

In a hard-hitting speech designed to build his credentials as commander in chief before a possible second presidential run in 2012, Romney said Obama has made a "grave miscalculation" with budget cuts to a strategic missile defense system that would protect the nation and its allies from nuclear threats.

"Backing away from missile defense and depleting the defense budget to fund new social programs, particularly in the face of global turmoil, would put America and Americans at risk," Romney said, echoing former vice president Dick Cheney's warnings.... Read full article »

You've not studied history have you? Those who ignore history or don't learn from it are doomed to repeat it! Hitler still has influence in this world. Who do you think the skinheads worship? I'm sorry if you can't see the repeat of history here. The sad thing is that history has repeated it's self over and over again. Too bad the public schools don't teach history anymore.
The only thing I hate is those who are trying so desperately to destroy what this nation once was. This is not about race. It's about patriotism.

I know more about history then you ever will know. That's why I'm in shock you can relate the two. I'm saying you need help, because you rant about Obama being a Muslim (when he isn't) acting as if you would'nt mind the extermination of the creed. You spend all your time hating Muslims and anyone associated, how can you not say your not like-minded as hitler and all who admire him? Patriotism? It's patriotism to slander a President that had started from the bottom and dedicated his life to community service? To make malicious remarks that the President wants to destroy our country? I know it burns you inside when I say our country doesn't it? Why? Is it hard to think rationally after coming back from one of your clan meetings? You are full of malarky man. Grow up why don't yah.

Clan meetings? Who the heck are you talking about? Since when does not liking Terrorists mean a person is racist? This is a religious war for the Muslims. Wake up! They have kids shows in their countries promoting hate and encouraging the little ones to grow up and be suicide bombers. I've seen these shows myself. That's child abuse and hate at it's worst! Obama was raise Muslim and admits it in his books. He also admits hating the race his mother was from, whites! Whos' racist here? Do your research, then pull you head out of the mud. All too soon you'll see what's really going on and then it will be too late! The Muslims have been waging wars for centuries in the name of Allah! You'd know this is you really studied history!

So your saying that all Muslims are terrorist? The millions that live in America wish to destroy America? Quite the typicial biggoted remark if you ask me. There are Christian terrorist too, did you know that? These shows you talking about are sponsored by terrorist regimes. This isn't the mind set of the majority of Muslims. These people in the middle east have been fighting so long because of the proverty levels in that area. Rather than give these people books and schools they are suppling them with explosives and sub machine guns to prevent a federation forming. Another global power to worry about.

Obama was honest and frontworth with his upbringing. He was isolated, looked down upon because if his color. As a child I couldn't use my white friend's bathroom, or even go in my white friend's house. As a child I was isolated and turned away because of my color. I can understand the fustrations he had as a child. It was even worst for him I would suspect. Experiencing that you realize how inappropriate and down right mean it is to treat a child or anyone, and you down right reject that type of behavior toward any race or creed. Anyone that has gone through this realizes this.Obama's mother was a well educated white woman. He never hated white people.

You try to paint me a racist just because I don't like Obama or the Muslims. I'm sure there's many Muslims who aren't agressive, but like the peaceful in Germany before WW2, they are stting on their hands and allowing the agressors to go nuts. They need to standup to the bad ones and knock them on their butts. If the peace loving Germans had done this, we wouldn't have had the the mess we had in WW2.
Obama claims to be Christian now, but all the things he stands for go against the Bible. Abortion and homosexuality are not supported by the Bible. He only joined a christian church because his wife pushed him to do so for political reasons.
You try to tell me to go to clan meetings! I don't think they would like me much because my beliefs are totally against them. Also,The Bible says that God's house will be a place of worship for all nations, not all religions. Besides all that, I don't think a person who's part Native American would be welcome into a hate group such as the clan.
As for honesty, Obama has never really cleared up where he was born at. That was all swept neatly under the carpet!

Give me a break dude, no one wants abortions. There are instances were both the woman and the baby would die during the birth. There are instances where the baby has birth defect that will cause pain and suffering during a short term life span. There are people out there that will out right abandon the baby, scorning them for life. The majority end up locked up in prison for crimes ranging from grand thief to murder. You preach about being anti-abortion, but were are you after they are born? Why would you hate that same born baby that had grown up to kill one of your family members for the clothes on their back or the money in their pockets? Why would you dislike a baby raised up in the Muslim religion. Do you see the hypocrisy?

Obama said he was against gay marriages, but for the right to civil unions. He said "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman". It's not up to the federal government to end abortions it's state level. You can't force a person to not be gay. They will be gay no matter what you do. If they choose to live their lives that way...let'em. How does this affect you? You're secure about your sexuality right? God is the only one that can judge us. You don't get out your pitch forks and rally against them. It's not up to you to pass judgement on anyone. ...

Every religion says it's the right religion. God will choose you in the end based on your choices in life. I'm of the Christian faith because I was brought up that way. People are Muslims mostly because they were brought up that way. One verse in the Bible you should know. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Luke 6:31

I'm just so tired of having their "Gay" lifestyle shoved down my throat. I don't hate the gays, I'm sick being bashed because I don't and cannot support them. Their lifestyle is destructive and not healthy.
As for Abortion, There's times I understand that desperation sets in. It's sad when this is seen as the only alternative. My step-brother and his wife had to go to China to adopt their kids because of both lack of opportunity here and the threat of lossing their child to the birthmother once she changes her mind. This happens all to often and further abuses the child. I did my best to raise two step children as I had no natural children. My step-son is a great young man who's now married and has a family of his own. My step-daughter however has mental problems and has so since her young childhood. She has spent much of her life in and out of mental institutions. I tried but there wasn't much hope.
How do you tell which Muslim is peaceful and which id not? This is a Holy Way to those extremists. Cutting of your head would make their Allah proud of them. As with most religions, the Muslim faith is about earning your Salvation. The Bible only teaches that "By faith you are saved throught faith and not by works". Grace means not receiving what you deserve. "For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God". Too many today don't even believe that God exsists.

You don't have to support them. You just like me, can say I'm against gay marriage, but if you wish to live your life like that it's your choice. Just like I choose to be heterosexual. Gays may not like heterosexual marriage, but they can't force me to be something I'm not.
I understand the troubles of adopting here in the states. In a lot of cases these mothers will change their minds. I commend you for raising your step-children. My brother is just like you. He married in to a family of 5 children. They are all good kids, with the common every problems with occassionally getting into crap they shouldn't be in. One of the kids is 19 and she has a baby of her own my brother is supporting. You are a good man and we need more of you in the world. Unfortunately, that is not the case for a lot of children.
There has been killings in the name of all religions. Not just the Muslim religion. Since the first humans there has been killing related to religion. You ask how can we tell which Muslims are normal and which lunatics? I ask how can we tell which Christians are normal and which are lunatics? By normal I mean someone not plotting murderous revenge or terrorist acts or engaged in some sort of perversion.
All we are to do our lives, is practice in what we preach. And to guide the ones you care about and love in the right direction in a non-violant manner. And to remember what God has given us...."Free Will"

People need to be careful about supporting things if they think there's harm in doing so. It's hard to not step on toes in matters like this. The Bible clearly states that Gay and Lesbian lifestyles are both wrong and destructive. The suicide rate is much higher in these groups than in others but if you bring this up you're accused of causing this by being hateful. There are other physical issues also. Children tend to tell their own parents how hateful they are being when they stop their kids from doing something wrong also.
As I expressed before, It seems to me like seeing a child playing in a minefield and not doing something to stop the destruction that's bound to follow. It's hard to just stand by silently and watch.
I believe that we are only going to see more violent action from radical Muslims in the future. It's speeding up from what I see. God help us all!

I think grown adults are just like they are when they're children. Unless you let them indulge themselves in a particular behavior, you'll never be able to make them understand your point-of-view. Kind of like when you touch the hot stove for the first time. Let them have civil unions and not to long after it won't be such a fad.
Sometimes parents have to listen to children. They are in touch with an innocence we once had. An understanding at a purer level, if you will. You take what they have to say and apply critical thinking. Once you do that you should be able to reach out to them.
You have to get over your fear of Muslims. Fear no one but God himself.

I am concerned that from what I hear, the Muslim religion is the fast growing of all religions world wide incuding here in the US. With the crazies among this group it's scary. I've also seen converts such as in England acting just as hateful as the ones seen in the middles east.

Most of this anger stems from economic issues. We are pretty much in a global recession at this point. There are going to be extremist of all creeds. It's our duty to condemn their violent acts and isolate them from society. We can't do that if we have religions blaming other religions. If we do that we'll just be stiring up fuel for the next war based on religion. God has given us a brain. We have to use it to think critically if we are to live peacefully.

My faith is in God and him alone. People tend to let you down when you least expect it. Once in awhile you do get surprised. As for testing, I feel like that's a constant thing in my life for the past 3 years. I could use a break.
I do know my righteousness is not in myself but of Christ. I can do nothing outside of Him that is worth mentioning or that will last the tests of time.

It has everything to do with race. It's the reason why 20 percent of Americans want our President to fail. You can't handle a reality where a african American improves our standing economically and globally.

Yah like Alan Keyes. Invited to a debate in ATL, Ga in 2000 and then escorted out before the debate began. Then he was disinvited. Why? Something tells me he would have invoked a lot of racial tension between Buchanan and Mccain. They all were boosting anti-abortion. However Buchanan and Mccain were known "flip-floppers". Not saying Alan was better than the two. I'm saying republicians didn't quite like the idea if a black guy calling out two older white guys.
