Romney assails Obama on national security

- Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney harshly criticized President Obama's national security strategy yesterday, chastising him for spending billions of dollars to expand social programs at the expense of the military budget, and accusing him of an overseas "tour of apology" that will only embolden violent anti-American extremists.

In a hard-hitting speech designed to build his credentials as commander in chief before a possible second presidential run in 2012, Romney said Obama has made a "grave miscalculation" with budget cuts to a strategic missile defense system that would protect the nation and its allies from nuclear threats.

"Backing away from missile defense and depleting the defense budget to fund new social programs, particularly in the face of global turmoil, would put America and Americans at risk," Romney said, echoing former vice president Dick Cheney's warnings.... Read full article »

The neighborhood bully isn't always the big kid on the block. Many times its the wirey hyperactive little bastard with the switchblade. You can't schmoose and stroke these backstabbers and expect them to play nice. They'll smile in your face while they plot to sucker punch you first chance they get.
Anyone who thinks that Iran, N.Korea, Syria, Russia, Venezuela, Somalia, China or any of the other countries at that end of the standard-of-living spectrum intends to take obozo seriously is as naive and unrealistic as he is.
We ought to be on pins and needles waiting for the next attack on American soil. Thank you, Mr. Presidunce.

I agree with you. What makes him think he can apologize for America and then expect them to be our friends?? Duh! They will stab us in the back - just like you said. Obama can't be that stupid, so it must be what he wants! The press coverage was limited. Was that a surprise? Not! Like Krafty said - he can bow in secret now.

America's idealism is both our strength and our weakness. I think you are right. The other side will say whatever then double-cross us. Honor and keeping your word is not a universal
    value.

Romney is right. That is exactly what Obama is doing. One this trip to Egypt, the press coverage is going to be limited and targeted to just what he wants seen. He got criticism for what he said and did so this time he is bowing in secret and apologizing in private. He make them happy and we will have no knowledge of what he really said and did. Watch the liberal press for the spin.

I really liked Mitt Romney, until I found out he was a Mormon (crazy whackjobs). However, at least I know for a fact that he loves America and isn't a terrorist supporter like BO.

I agree, except I don't think Mormons are crazy. You can say that about any religion.

Romney is right about BO. BO is taking away from national security to better put all of us at risk with his terrorist buddies.
It's ridiculous because he doesn't have the proper priorities straight. Take the damned wasted money for ACORN and give it to our military for national security. I could name literally thousands of others whose money should've been used for national security, but everyone knows what the hell is going on-so why the hell isn't the government stopping this BS?

He should be criticized for cutting the military budget. We need to be core concerned with our military since we are at war in 2 countries and leave the social programs alone. We dont neednationalied health care we dont have the money for it we need to build up our military, and he needs to stop apologizing for America and trying to make friends with our enemies they cannot be trusted.I guess he is too niave to see that shake hands and we will all be friends is his ideals.

You keep saying 'WE' ........ and .... 'HE' How do you know that this country doesn't need and 'HAVE TO HAVE' some kind of Health Care System? Also, don't you think
that trying to get along with the other countries and being friendly is better than invading and going to WAR like we did with Iraq? George Bush did that because he didn't like Saddam Hussan ~! Now which is better?
