Romney assails Obama on national security

- Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney harshly criticized President Obama's national security strategy yesterday, chastising him for spending billions of dollars to expand social programs at the expense of the military budget, and accusing him of an overseas "tour of apology" that will only embolden violent anti-American extremists.

In a hard-hitting speech designed to build his credentials as commander in chief before a possible second presidential run in 2012, Romney said Obama has made a "grave miscalculation" with budget cuts to a strategic missile defense system that would protect the nation and its allies from nuclear threats.

"Backing away from missile defense and depleting the defense budget to fund new social programs, particularly in the face of global turmoil, would put America and Americans at risk," Romney said, echoing former vice president Dick Cheney's warnings.... Read full article »

And here's the list of Republican obsessions since President Obama took office: that his birth certificate is supposedly fake, he uses a teleprompter too much, he bowed to a Saudi guy, Europeans like him, he gives inappropriate gifts, his wife shamelessly flaunts her upper arms, and he shook hands with Hugo Chavez and slipped him the nuclear launch codes.

Do these sound like the concerns of a healthy, vibrant political party?

Yeah, about as healthy as the party that's in power and has some very difficult dicision to make on this economy running a game on their Official Website, "Is Rush now the new leader of the Republican Party?" Email us with your slogan and the winner will have his/her slogan on a billboard in Rush's home town. I don't know about the rest of you but, that kind of mentality doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy all over about the Party incharge right now!

These are not obsessions. some of them are truths, like a lack of a proper birth credential that has the Drs name on it. You are shamefully weak. . .

I just read this article after hearing the speech Obama made earlier this morning in Egypt. Obama's speech left me feeling fearful that his administration is leading our nation into the hands of our enemies and giving them good reason not to respect American strength. He is busy apologizing, not standing up for our country or it 's freedoms.

I loved Romney's comments regarding three leading forces in breaking down our American freedom; China, Russia and Islamic jihadists. If you haven't read this entire article it is worth reading.

Excellent. You hit it on the nail, Cloris. ..... he's giving them good reason not to respect American strength. His "apologies" have to stop!

Who cares? If he were president, he would have simply let the neoconservatives run the show. I've seen that movie before, and I don't like how it ends.

Mitt was also my man, I looked at all the other candidates and decided early on to go with Mitt. I knew his success on running business and the Olympics when they were in financial trouble and turned them around to make a profit.
When it comes to business this man is very savey and most Americans knew America was in financial trouble long before those idiots in D.C. even had a clue.

The amount of spending going on here is scary and Obama has already said we have run out of money, we're broke he says. Oh yeah!, so why are we talking about spending even more money on a health system that will cost trillions?

Romney needs to go find a personality, a heart, a soul something that resembles something human! He couldn't even beat an old goat like McCain, hell even Lil Bush could beat McCain. Seriously Romney please call it quits, you're such a wannabe. The republican party lacks a true leader. Joe Scarborough the party needs more like you.
