The punishment should fit the crime.

This news story fails to mention that the victims are white, the perps black.

Yet, that is NOT surprising since we've been inundated with Saint Skittles.

Skin them alive. The older a person gets, the more thin and fragile their skin becomes. It's almost like wet tissue paper, barely touch it or scrape it and it breaks wide open and is rather painful. I cant imagine what the poor dear went through when someone freed her from the tape. People who hurt the elderly and children are lower than pond scum in my opinion and deserve NO SYMPATHY when it comes to punishment.

Screen jumped, No, At her age they should have had very little to fear from her, she on the other hand could have very easily broken bones or sores that wouldn't heal at her age. It's shameful what punks will do these days. They should get the maximum allowed by law for the crime.

I think the punishment should fit the crime. If anyone is taken advantage of because of their age or size, that should be a big factor. Intimidation should be considered as weight during the sentencing.
We don't need more laws, just the enforcement of the ones we do have.

This idea, just like hate crime legislation shouldn't be allowed. A crime against a person is exactly that a crime. Making that crime worse because it was done against a certain group doesn't provide for equal protection under the law. If someone committs a crime, by all means prosecute them but don't make special catagories of victims.

That has always been my thought. But they keep getting softer and softer so they start adding new crimes so they can get close to the old ways.
